Christmas Gift Ideas for Your Man
I don’t know about you, but I have most of my Christmas shopping done, and have for months. All of it, that is, except for my husband’s presents. I don’t know what it is, but this year I just have no clue what to get him. My mother-in-law typically buys work shirts for my FIL for Christmas presents and we promised ourselves we’d never be like that—buying necessities for Christmas.
I don’t know, maybe we’re trying to keep the childlike magic of Christmas alive past it’s expiration date, because this year I am having the hardest time. It’s not like I don’t know what he’d like… it’s just that I want to do something special to show him how much I care for him. Everything else seems merely “OK” as a Christmas gift. I don’t want OK I want something that will make him smile and get him excited. Maybe it’s silly.
I have gotten so desperate for ideas that I have even gone to Google for help. I did get a few ideas. One of the things I found kind of neat were beer of the month clubs, where your significant other gets a different type of beer (sometimes several types a month depending on the package you choose). My husband was not a beer drinker for many years, but since going to work for Enterprise he has developed a taste for it and goes out with the guys for beers at least one night a week.
Now, I thought the kit was neat, but the smallest package was over sixty dollars. That’s a lot of money (in my opinion) to spend on something when I am unsure of exactly what he’s getting and whether he will like it. However, it did give me an idea. I think I am going to make a beer lover’s basket and include a coupon for a night of hanging with the boys during which I will take the girls and myself out of the house.
I am very excited and hope he will be too when he opens this gift. What about you? Are you having a hard time coming up with ideas for the man in your life?

Great idea! I might just have to steal that one for DH’s birthday
. Yeah, I’m not so great at the gifting thing, I think it’s partly because my family was not really in to it while I was growing up. Thanks for the idea and I hope your hubby enjoys his gift!
