Strong Body, Fit Body with Erin O’Brien is, not surprisingly, all about strength training. You will need light hand weights to do this workout. With this DVD weight lifting becomes more interesting with Erin O’Brien’s encouragement as she guides you through set regimes that are specifically designed to make the most out of the effort you put in.
What I like about Erin O’Brien
She is spunky and energetic without being condescending. While she’s clearly in superior physical shape, she’s good about instructing from an understanding perspective. She’s even kind of funny and amusing. Best of all, she’s able to explain the movements, proper form, and correct technique in a non-technical way that anyone can understand. Sometimes fitness instructors get so caught up in their own worlds that they forget their audience and students include novice athletes, even those with little interest in achieving physical perfection and intense study of physical fitness. Instead they want the work out taught at their level, and Erin does just that.
However, don’t think that “at your level” means she goes easy on you. Not at all! She sure explains things well but she expects you to workout hard and make a difference in your body. Fortunately, Strong Body, Fit Body with Erin O’Brien on DVD is broken up into several sections so if you find it hard to keep up with her, you can just do your best and work a few sections at a time.
Warm-Up (5 min.)
Circuit 1 (7 min.)
Circuit 2 (7 min)
Circuit 3 (7 min.)
From the Top (7 min.)
Floor Work (6 min.)
Cool Down (7 min.)
With sections this short you really have no excuse not squeeze in a quick workout.
My Favorite Part
During the credits the camera guy goes around asking the film crew “Why do you exercise.” The responses range from typical to terribly honest to hilarious. Don’t miss the amusement and enjoy the credits.
Leave a comment telling us why you exercise!
The winner will be chosen February 2nd and contacted via e-mail for their mailing addresses. US entries only, please. Good Luck!
