IDK why but I would really love it more if people commented more, like I will talk to someone and they say, oh I love your blog I have been reading it all the time,:headscratch: why don't they leave a comment? I think comments are my love language.
I know I could do a giveaway, bu it hasn't seemed appropriate yet.
It feels kind of like this: You bake someone cookies, give them to them and then they say nothing while eating them right in front of you, Well don't you like them? can't you say thanks?
My readers comment on my facebook page, not a blog page but my personal page:giggle2:I just want them to comment on my blog.

Good question-I don't know :giggle: I have around 100 hits per day on my blog but yet very rarely get a comment and the ones I do get are usually from the same people.
The past few posts I've done have gotten more response-but I've had controversy for the first time ever. I think controversy is a huge comment getter but I don't want that kind of blog so for the most part I stay away from it.

Hi mama! I read your blog too but since I can't "subscribe" to it like on the blogger.com blogs, I often forget to check back.
I think commenting on other people's blogs or listing a link to someone else's entry that maybe inspired one for you would help grow your readership. I have a friend with 300+ friends and whenever she posts a link to that person's entry, their readership grows too.

great suggestion, I actually just posted my first entry really linking and quoting another favorite blog, I hope she likes it (: certain bloggers feel like friends because you have so much in common with them.

99% of the time, my comments come from people that I have some sort of relationship with - be it through reading and commenting on their blog, from Twitter, or from one of the message boards I'm on.
Personally, I'm a terrible commenter. By the time I make it through my reader at the end of the night, I barely have time to comment!
Something cool was when the Delurker Day was going around. I think it was in the fall. So many people came out and said hi through the comments that had been reading for a really long time. Most of them went back to lurking, but it was still neat to see who was there.

I don't get a ton of comments but then, I don't post about controversial stuff either - I post about things like baby drool. Not a whole lot you can elaborate on there, I guess.
