I know we did this over on the other board, but what are your mini goals??

I wanted to loose 10 lbs by May 1.

Im down 5.

I have a challenge going on my private board right now... I put myself down to lose 10 lbs by May 12th. So far I've lost 3 lbs toward that goal, so I'm off to a good start! :D

In my weight loss group we have a contest starting next week, it is to lose 10lbs in May. We weigh in Tues nights so that will be 5 weeks.

I was 175 last week, should be down a lb or so this week. My main mini goal right now is to get to 169. I would love it if I could get to 164ish by the end of May.

I don't own a scale but my goal is to fit into some of my summer wear. I can get it done up which I couldn't do two summers ago (PG last summer) but it's not very flattering.

Edit: Actually not fit, need new ones because they are too big...lol

Ideally, I'd LOVE to lose 20 lbs but I am afraid of looking 'too thin' (is there such a thing? lol) I am like 172 right now. I want to lose the weight so that when I get pg w/ the surrogacy and gain weight again, I wont have much to lose afterwards. Is it even worth the effort if I can be pg in like 2 mos from now?

Yes, it is worth the effort, Rhi! My goal was to lose 10 lbs. by June 15th, but I don't think I'm going to make it without starving, lol. So I'm going to try to get down to 130, which is about 8 lbs. away. I'm short though, so 8 lbs. is a lot for me. We started eating more veggies and less sweets and walking more...baby steps.

Rhi, not only is it worth the effort but as long as you do it through healthy diet and such it could help remove toxins and everything to make for a cleaner, healthier start for the little one...which would just make your gift that much more sweet so don't think for a second it's wasted effort. Anything that's good for you is good for the future "fruit o' the womb," I probably wouldn't expect to lose the whole 20 in 2 mo, but you'll have time to make decent headway...

My mini goal is to trim about 1-1.5" from my squidgy baby abdomen by my birthday (Jun 23), assuming I can do so without compromising my milk.

I only lost .25this week. I did win a free month at Curves. I've done Curves before and it does nothing for me but it was free so I'll go.lol

Rhi, how tall are you? I am 5ft 4, my dr put my goal at 135. I wanted 130, but he said 135 so I wouldn't look like skeleton. 2.5years ago I was down to 146. then medication and my own non-efforts got me up to 186 so I'm at square one again. I am 174.75.

I've lost 8.6 of the 10 lbs I signed up to lose by May 12th!!!! Only 1.4lbs to go! :D

I hit my first weight loss goal! 10lbs lost... On to the next, which is another 19.6lbs by July 28th...

Congratulations, Severine!!! That is great!

I forgot to post my mini goals when the board moved, so here is mine: (I guess it is not mini, but the end goal)
My goal weight is 155. I am 5' 8.5" and I think that is a good/healthy weight. I do not ever remember weighing that.
Since Jan 2nd I am down 28.5lbs. I just jump started my dieting and exercise again (a little break was needed) and I am ready to loose that other 25lbs.

My goal will be 25 lbs by September 1st.

Okay, I am game for a mini goal.

I am going to reach for 10 pounds by June 1st!

My ultimate goal is to lose an additional 67 lbs. I have already lost 18 lbs. since January.

I'll play! If that is ok, of course! I want to lose another 21 lbs in another 10 weeks, (did lose 21 lbs in 10 weeks-yay!)

You mamas sound like you are really on a roll! So glad to have more support!!

I'm not good with mini goals - it seems if I set it at around 10 lbs, once I reach it, I lose motivation or I get to "comfortable" and I start eating badly....its sad lol

So, my goal is to lose 20 lbs by the first week of July. I just started this week (and failed horribly while out of town this weekend), so I haven't lost anything yet. But even if I don't lose lbs (because I'm using the elliptical now, probably building muscle), I'd be THRILLED to fit into my summer clothes....otherwise, I'm going to do a bit of shopping :laugh:

I'm 5'1" with a normally small build....my healthy weight is about 115 or so, I'm at 152 right now :blush: I've got a ways to go....

Okay, I need a new goal because I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO not going to hit this. I had a couple bad gains and then i lost this week putting me at 178.25.

My mini goal is go hit 173. I really really want to hit the 150's by July 14th when I have a family wedding. It's been about 2 years since I've been that and it'd be really nice to get to that again.

I am subscribing to this thread so I don't forget.

16.4 lbs to go to my July 28th goal... 12.2 lbs lost thus far!

Great job ladies! You CAN do it!!!! We all stumble... just pick yourself up and keep on going!

I'm going to chime in even this is an 'old' post....My goal is 150. My "ideal" weight is 127....but I weighed that in 8th grade...and will NEVER get there again. So my goal is 150 because I think if I make it any lower, I'll doom myself to fail! :) 150 is doable...anything else I'm not so sure.

I've got a thyroid disease and PCOS but just started both my meds together and I think they're doing some good :thumbsup: Last Monday (05/15), I weighed 201. Now, I know my scale is wrong...I think by like 3 lbs (MIL was at the doc today & weighed herself @ my house too..and it was off by 3 lbs)...but as of this morning, I weighed 189 (by my scale).

Once I feel like my house is under control again (I got real busy and the house became a disaster)...I'll start walking again in the evenings with my boys...and hopefully in the morning/afternoon too.

I have to pace myself :) If I jump in with both feet, I jump right back out!
