Can someone recommend a product or way to keep an infant warm while being worn outside? We have a bloak but DS2 is just 11 days old, so he is still very small & doesn't have much neck control. Typically he is worn in a beco or RS and i just throw a blanket over top, but am curious to find a better solution. Thanks for your help!

In a Beco you can put him bundled up in it. Or you could buy a mamajacket, a mamaponcho, a babywearing vest, make your own no-sew poncho, use a maternity coat over the carrier, or buy a carrier cover (brands include Catbird, Monkey Pocket, Protect a Bub). Some wraps are warm and work well in winter too!

I had two preemies in winter with older siblings. So that meant time outside playing. I wore them in ring slings inside my jacket. I remember one specific time it had snowed overnight and we had a snow day from school. My youngest was just 36weeks gestational age/3weeks chronological age and she'd only been home a few days. I stuck her in the ring sling against my chest on top of a wool sweater upright and zipped my down jacket around us both and headed outside with my kids. We were actually so warm I had to unzip just slightly to vent our heat because we were pulling her big sisters up a hill in their sled.:giggle: In 8inches of snow. And it was still snowing. :giggle2: Worked like a charm. No special equipment, just a slightly larger fitting jacket. I did it with both preemies. And up until they were several months old and we didn't fit well anymore.
