Supplemental Maternity Insurance?

My husband and I were thinking of getting supplemental insurance before we get pregnant with our next child but our insurance agent told DH that it was too expensive and hard to get claims processed. Is this true?

Has anyone here had good success with supplemental insurance? Which insurance did you have and how did you go about getting it?
