My niece is getting a Baby Alive for her birthday (a much wanted and greatly sought after pottying dolly). I'm going to make some cloth diapers for it, but don't know what size to make them. Any ideas? Anyone know if one outer woven layer and two flannel layers will be enough absorbency?
I made the diapers for my neice's doll. They turned out great and I even made matching wipes! Her mom is so excited that she's getting them. Disposable diapers for dolls get too expensive! My husband thinks I'm whacky for making them for a doll, but won't tell me so! I think they turned out great.

It will have to have a soaker pad, like 2/3 layers then the regular body layers for the diaper they pee a TON. And, there are 2 sizes of baby alive, my cousins lil girl has the smaller one and i made her some cloth diapers for it. I'm not at my house but lmk which size baby alive she is getting and I'll try to get the right measurements for the dipes for it.

I don't know which size she's getting! And I can't really find out until the day of the party. Are they such a different size that velcro front dipes wouldn't adjust to fit both of them? I think I'll do the 2-3 body layers and then do a rectangle 4 layer external soaker sewed in at both ends (like a Bumkins).

Any one else have any size tips for me on this? I need to get these made this weekend? Would a preemie size fit?

so do yours have any PUL in them? or just cotton. I made some that have pul on the outside and microfiber on the inside, but am actually thinking once i start sewing again, that pockets might be best for our baby alive pee'r

They are just cotton. No water proof layer. I think pockets would be really hard to stuff for a diaper this small. I made the soaker on the inside flip out like a bumkins.
