Had strong consistent contractions overnight then lost my mucus plug and had bloody show and the contractions have slowed down, but my MW still thinks it will be today!

The short birth story...
Contractions started early Monday morning. We went to the birth house on Monday night thinking baby would come, but nothing was progressing so after a semi-sleepless night we came home to relax and continue to labor. We still weren't having regular contractions so decided to go on a walk about 3pm. About 5pm my mom came over and at that point the contractions were getting much stronger. We called the midwife and she was attending a birth in Omaha (3 hours away). At 5:45 my contractions got regular and all of a sudden my body was pushing. Clint got our midwife on the phone and by that point could see the baby's head. After her head was out the midwife said to turn over on all fours and so I did and the next contraction she came right out! Clint suctioned out her mouth and she started to whimper and they handed her to me. Several hours later the midwife assistant came to check Amelia an me over. Everything was perfect. She has been a great nurser and very content so far! What an awesome and amazing Christmas present!
