Reading OPK's

So I'm trying the wondro opk's this month for the first time. Just want to make sure I'm on the right track. They need to be dipped for three seconds? Can't read until 5 minutes? Need to be equal or darker than the control line to be positive?

Dip for 3 seconds then you can read as early as 3 minutes but NO LATER than 10 :) And yes, the test line has to be the same color or darker than the control :)

Also if you get a line that is multi-toned, use the darkest solid line.

Some brands say 50% of the width of line has to be as darker or darker some brands say if ANY part of the line is dark enough. I am pretty sure I read that wondfo is in the latter group. (FYI, Answer is in the former group)

Thanks Jenn and Brandilyn. I have a test line today that shows up, and it's lighter than the control. I think I should be o'ing tomorrow, so am I wrong that I will o tomorrow, or is it just too late to catch the egg by the time opk is positive? We shouldn't wait for the positive to get down to business should we? My DH is compliant :giggle: but I don't want to wear out my welcome by being (noticeably) obsessive this first time with the opk's IYKWIM.

Actually your positive is usually 12-36 hours BEFORE you O.

That being said I would start BDing once you start seeing color on the strip, before you actually get a +. You might be one of the lucky ones that gets the lead up color (some people don't)
