What is your guilty pleasure? I love to take long baths and read a book and let DH deal with the little one. I'll stay in there for an hour!
Other than that, diet coke. Sounds silly, but one can makes me feel so much better!

How did you meet DH? We met in a wine bar in Kansas City. I was visiting from out of town, and was there with my mom. We started talking, and before I knew it had a date set up for my next night in town. I almost didn't go, because I thought it would never turn into anything, but my mom offered to babysit and told me to go have fun. He picked me up at 6 the next day, and we stayed out until 3! About 6 months later he followed me to Colorado. I'm so glad I went on that date! :giggle2:

Favorite food?
Currently, zucchini! But usually, sushi. I could eat it every day!


What are your hobbies? I scrapbook, and I make jewelry. I make some for my dad's store, so it's also a source of extra income for me from home. I like to make funky pieces for every day wear but for the store I do mostly simple precious bead work.

Any weird pet peeves? I can't stand it when people have their tongue hanging out of the corner of their mouth. It disgusts me. Some people do it when they're thinking, and it makes me gag. :giggle:

Have you enjoyed this pregnancy? I'm starting to! I felt really sick the first 16 weeks, and I've had lots of issues and have been on and off bed rest. I'm finally starting to feel well, and I haven't had any significant bleeding for over a month. I have kind of complicated pregnancies, so I tend to not enjoy them until I get to the viability point.
My favorite part of being pregnant is just feeling the baby move, and of course that's all the time now, so it's fun. I'm also in the process of quitting my job, so I can be a FT SAHM to my kids, so that's really exciting too! It's giving me the time to sit back and enjoy this pregnancy a bit more.

What's in your diaper stash currently for the new babe?
I loved cding my DD so probably too much! I've got 3 dozen prefolds, a dozen kissaluv contours, 6 xs elbees, 3 bg aios, 3 newborn mutts, 2 pianissimo fitteds, 2 thirsties aios, 1 zzd aio, a baby sweet bottoms pockets, an xs Luxe pull on cover, a baby bear set, a 3 other pairs of longies. I think that's it. I have some other things ordered, too. I have some individual pics in the stash thread, but you can see a lot of it here:

Where did you grow up? I grew up in Kansas City, but I've lived all over the US since then.
What are the ages of your children, how many? Arabella just turned 5 last week! She's very excited to be a big sister.
What is your favorite season? Summer. Hands down. I love warm weather. I used to live in Tempe AZ and I would go back to that warm climate in a heart beat!

How on earth are you not telling DH the baby's sex?? It's really, really hard. Like, we're settled on a girl's name and not a boy's, and I don't want to push it because I can't give away the gender. I do have both boy and girl stuff out in the nursery to throw him off, which is kind of fun! It's tempting to share, but he really wants the surprise.

As an experienced cloth diaper user--what is the worst thing about cloth diapers (for us newbies)? If you get ammonia smell, that can be seriously nasty. And solid poop are quite the icky surprise after BFing, too. But it's all livable!

What kind of books do you like to read? favorite authors? I really like to read historical fiction, or sci-fi. I like to escape my world, so I enjoy reading about the past or totally impossible scenarios. I'm not sure I can even remotely begin to list favs, I bounce around too much. This needs more questions!

Where would you like to travel to if money wasn't an object? I'd like to take a year and travel the world! In fact, I hope that we really get to do that some day. We love, love to travel. I really make it a priority in our lives, and I set aside money every month for a vacation fund. We do an annual international trip, although since we usually do it in May, we'll have to see about this year. One of my siggy pics (click Arabella) is taken from the London Eye. I think travel is a really important tool in learning about the world and the other people in it.

How would you describe yourself? Mentally? Or how I look? I'm 5'3, have brown hair, and am pregnant. :giggle2: If you mean describe my life and how I think, I'll have to get back to you. I'm in the midst of becoming a FT SAHM, so I feel like my values/goals are sort of in upheaval. It's a good thing though!

Now how would your friends describe you? I'm passionate, loyal, and silly. According to my sister, who I just asked. :giggle:

what is your favorite part of being a mom? The chance to shape how someone sees the world, and influence who they're going to be. It's pretty cool. Day to day, I like little kid snuggles. :goodvibes:

Least favorite? I find that parenting makes me more aware of my own personal flaws. It's trying, and can bring out the worst in me on a bad day. It's probably character building, but I don't enjoy it!

Most favorite part about DH? He's really driven to change the things he thinks are important for the better. He's constantly trying to improve things for those around him. It makes him a really interesting person and a caring partner.

Least favorite? He can get lost in his projects and forget to pay attention to what's happening around him. Usually a gentle reminder to take some time for family is enough, though.

The store I sell to is pretty much OOS for the season (plus what I make for the store is generally expensive, starting pricing being around $500) and I'm officially "babymooning" except for already placed store customs, until probably mid summer. I used to make lots of less expensive pieces for local shows and on HC, but I found that my profits vs time put in was really only worth it for me at a high end retail level. I do still do customs for people for trades/swaps, though! :goodvibes:

Sorry I was slow answering this, I am out of town training someone else to do my job and finishing everything out. It's keeping me pretty busy, but it's very exciting to know in a couple of weeks I'll be footloose and fancy free!!! :giggle2:
