I'm a newbie here and new to cloth diapering too! My 4 1/2 month old daughter has a labial adhesion and her pediatrician strongly recomended cloth diapers because they would irritate it less and decrease her already high risk for uti's. I already had 2 little lambs that I was trying out and considered making the switch, so it was an easy decision for me to go to cloth.
I have two daughters, Emilee (4 1/2 months) and JJ (23 1/2 months.) JJ is almost out of diapers (we're on the last box!) so I'm not bothering with cloth for her, but Emilee has a long time left. I'm also a single momma and I don't get child support, so I'm pretty broke and will be looking for good deals!
