Okay, my 21 mo. old DS has been very early with his motor skills (walked at 9 mos, can now jump at 21 mos, etc.) but a little slow with verbal skills. At 21 mos. he understands everything and can follow directions but says only about 25 or so words and signs a bunch more. Well, his newest thing is the lawn tractor (riding lawn mower), except he calls it DADA!!!!!! Of course, dada is the one who takes him for rides on it, but at first he just said dada everytime he saw it parked in our garage. Now, whenever he sees a tractor (lawn tractor, farm tractor, etc.) in a book or in real life he points and says "DADA." I do try to correct him by saying "tractor", but I still think it's pretty funny!!!:D

I love it when my kids mis pronounce something. I rarely correct them (well, Marti is 5 so it isn't as "cute" when she does it because she is "old enough to know better" now). For the longest time Lilly would say "I too" instead of "I love you too". It's just so cute and I want her to say it that way forever. Well, not really, but you kwim.

That's so cute! My kids do that sort of thing too. They call apples "mam-aws" and I have no idea why!
