Ok, so I've downloaded itunes. It keeps telling me at the top of the screen that it is "syncing" and then it says "sync complete".

So I bought an app, just a cheap on to see if it would work. I am using my desktop with the ipod plugged in. It says it downloaded, but it is not on the ipod. I also downloaded, or attempted to at least, two other free apps. One it says it can't download because of problems with the artwork. The other, well, it's just missing too. Where are they going and why aren't they on the ipod itself???

Please help before I throw this thing in the water! I have been messing with this for over 3 hours now :banghead:

**Update: One of the apps has magically appeared on the ipod. Do they just take a while to show up? And if I have downloaded them, the download is complete and it says it is synced, can I unplug the device from the computer and it show up later? Or do I have to leave it hooked up until the app shows up on the ipod?

Do you have a wireless internet connection?

No I don't. I was told that if I used my desktop I could sync it to my ipod. I was told the only time I needed wireless was if I was "out and about" and couldn't hook up to my computer. This is the generation 4 if that helps any.

Do you have app syncing enabled? When your iPod is plugged in you should see it listed on the left hand side of iTunes. Click on it and you should see some new tabs in the middle of the iTunes pane. One of the tabs is "Apps". Click on that and see if the box next to "Sync Apps" is checked.

Yes it is set to sync apps. I ended up going to town just to use McDonalds wifi lol. When I did that and went to the app store any apps that I downloaded immediately showed up. I just can't figure out how I can do it from my computer. I only got it to work on one app :headscratch:

This may be a dumb question, but did you sync it? It's not necessarily set up to sync automatically when you plug it in. The sync button is on the left in iTunes.

Yes, there was a box that popped up whenbi was first setting it all up that asked me if and what I wanted to sync. Apps was one of the options. I know it is synced because the one app did show up, but it was the only one out of three that showed up on the ipod. And I actually paid for one that hasn't shown up :headbang:

Yes it is set to sync apps.

Okay, now what kind of app syncing do you have selected? You can click "sync all apps". If you choose to only sync certain apps, then you need to make sure each app in the list is checked off. Forgive me if you've already done that.
