Well, most of them...this is pregnancy #4 for me and I've never LOVED maternity clothes (who does?)...but I've also never been pregnant through the summer before...seriously why does every little issue with the maternity clothes I own drive me insane. From the stupid 'tagless' shirts that have that annoying tag in the side of the shirt that you can't even completely cut out so then it rubs my side in the most annoying way to the stupid short belly elastic things on shorts that continue to roll all over themselves and cause my large belly to sweat even more...
So, I'm leaning towards wearing the few maternity items I have and actually like b/c they don't annoy me and some of the dresses I have - but I also hate lace and don't have large boobs to hold up the maternity dresses that apparently every other pregnant woman has...that also has it's issues!
Ok...I'm done now...thanks for reading my rant!!!

I don't have the large boobs either. I actually use my nursing tanks from ds#1 to layer under shirts that otherwise can be unmodest and to use under dresses. I've never been a fan of skirts, but I've decided pregnant and summer heat means more skirts and dresses!

so sorry mama. I have a september baby too (well, hes almost 3 now) I lived in the Old Navy tanks that have the built in bra. They are super cozy and are just fine for us 'less blessed' up top! lol

I have secret fit belly shorts/pants and they are SUPER comfortable :) I plan on wearing them long after this baby is born actually :giggle: At least until I lose the weight!
If you have a target near you, there are some Liz Lange Maternity shirts that are just basic v-necks and SUPER stretchy and comfortable, I've never had a problem with tags rubbing on those. Oh and I got some really comfy tank tops at Old Navy.

I love dresses so I wear (I guess you would call them) Maxi dresses.
I got a few from wal-mart the ones I have are NOT maternity and they are a stretchy material so they are a one size fits all dress!!
They are sooooooo comfy, I wear them everyday!

I do have large boobs, so anything maternity I wear HAS to have the elastic or tie under the boobs. I hate everything else because it makes me look like one large blob with no 'dent' in between. The tag on the side had been driving me nuts, too!

I was also going to suggest long stretchy non-maternity dresses. I just bought one at old navy yesterday and I can't believe I am just now thinking of it. I even looked at some of the maternity dresses and they were horrible. Why are maternity clothes so awful? Can't they make them more like normal clothes but bigger?
I refuse to buy any more maternity clothes. I only have just over 2 months left and this is my last, so I going to get by with what I have. It just hit the high temps here so I am noticing how little I have for really hot weather.

Most of the Old Navy maternity clothes are truly hideous :giggle: I only have a couple plain shirts from them.
Honestly I just stick to form fitting, stretchy shirts in plain colors and secret belly shorts. I don't have ANYthing that is remotely fancy. But then again all I do is stay home so it's not like I need to look dressy or cute.

I like my dresses from Old Navy. My favorite capris and shorts are all from a local place called Burlington Coat Factory.

We have a Burlington Coat Factory too but I never thought to check there! I've only been in there once or twice I don't think our particular store is very nice :o

I don't wear maternity clothes, for that exact reason!! one of my daycare mums is constantly raving about my pregnancy wardrobe- she asked today where I get my tops...and I said Aritzia. haha. her response? " ooooh no wonder I never had cute stuff while pregnant!!!" lol

I agree, I've hit the local wal-mart and thrift stores and found a few no-maternity dresses to wear...some of the ones at walmart have a 'tight' top that I'm not a huge fan of and the straps are so long that I'm going to have to take them up some so they won't fall off all the time. The other non-maternity dresses I'm having a hard time feeling like they are long enough. The front ends up shorter - just due to my belly and I've asked DH, but he says they are fine...not having wonderful luck with those either, but I think I like dresses better too this pregnancy. I don't care for skirts, b/c I'm having the same issue with the shirts and that weird band riding up, rolling over, or causing me to sweat around my belly - YUCK!
Thanks for the suggestions and keep them coming!
Oh, and I'm a stay at home mom - so I don't need to look dressy all the time, but my clothes have to function (with me picking up kids) and they HAVE to be comfortable - I HATE uncomfortable clothes (all the time but MOST often when pregnant :))!

I like the secret belly fir stuff. I could not get away with not wearing maternity clothes though.

Me neither. In fact I am growing out of all of my maternity shirts now. My belly is starting to hang out the bottom of them! I don't want to buy more stuff, but I don't want my belly to hang out all the time either! The only non-maternity stuff I can wear are really stretchy skirts and dresses. I have a skirt that is elastic all the way around and all bunched up, so it fits better than some of my maternity skirts do.
My husband informed me, after I had already worn this dress to a family gathering, that my new non-maternity stretchy dress is totally see-through. It's only like that in the right light when I walk, but it's kind of embarrassing. It's probably stretched too tight and that makes it see-through. Guess I will be saving that dress for after the baby.

I've tried these, I've had C/S and so that area is still just uncomfortable when I'm pregnant and it's stretched and I can't stand having something that covers my entire belly! Too hot and uncomfortable for me...

see and I like having my belly covered partly because my belly is so low this time so if the whole thing is not covered then it just sits way too low.
