Would you be able to leave your baby for 18 hours at 9 weeks old?

Here's my situation...

I was recently promoted to assistant manager at my job and every few months our owner goes to a training thing for owners and managers. I haven't got to go yet. She wants to me go on aug. 3rd. We get up really early and leave at like 4 or 5 in the morning and I probably won't be home till 11 at night... We drive 4hrs there and back... I'm worried about leaving dd this long... I can't imagine not getting to nurse her for that long... I'll of course pump but it still concerns me...

The mother in me wants to say no I need to stay home but the employee in me wants to go and put progress towards my career...

So... Tell me WWYD?!

My good friend had to do this same thing when her sweet baby was about the same age. She said it was really difficult, but she and her son went on to have a nursing relationship that lasted until he was nearly 5.
