What do you do? What are you planning? With DS I knit a bunch of newborn fluff, and then he ended up being over 10 lbs at birth and nothing fit  Hoping to have a smaller baby this time, but I think I will be focusing on a small size stash :giggle: I also sew, and would like to round out my stash with more fitteds in each size.

I'm semi-crafty. I've sewn up a few diapers that have turned out decently. Not the most beautiful things in the world, but they should work! I plan to sew up some more diapers and I want to make the crib bedding and curtains. Just need to find out if I can go girly or boy!

I plan on making a few more diapers and crocheting some hats and a cocoon. I think that I may try and do a quilt and curtains. I did the curtains for my other two, so that I know I can do. I just haven't done a quilt before, so I'm kinda excited to try that.

I'm going to knit a blanket, crochet a hat or 2, and maybe a few other things once I find out what it is! I made a mobile for my son and was contemplating on making one for the next baby as well.

 I've already been at work! Yesterday I finished recycled merino wool longies ( my first set). I've made matching spring skirts (not identical but same material and both poofy) for me & DD to fit in the spring. I have left over material too just in case it's this one is a girl!
Oh and I'm working on a scrappy fleece cover, my first cover. I'm hoping that I can do a decent enough work on the covers so that I can sell my new or like new covers.
I'm also contemplating make DD a scrapbook that I can give to her a couple days after the birth. I've never done a scrapbook and it'll probably look pretty 'scrappy' but I know she will love it.

I am planning on making lots of bows and flower headbands if i have a girl. I wanna do blankets for both my kiddos, but I don't sew so I will just do the tie ones.

I wish I was crafty - I think I am going to have to hire myself someone to make some upcycled covers/shorties/longies - I have maybe 5-10 gn felted sweaters ready for the task but no idea how to actually DO it.

I am goiing to learn how to knit this time! I already have some recycled covers that are GN. I will make more for DD and the new baby. Kinda hopiing DD is close to PT soon after the baby. I've never had more than one in diapers for more than 6 months.
I will make a few big blankets and lots of hair pretties if it's a girl. I will also make tie dye shirts to match longies!

Most of my craftiness is edible. I could make myself a beautiful baby shower cake, but that's not terribly practical.

how did you do the mobile?
I used tinker toys as the base and the poles, drilled a couple holes in the posts. the long ones had 2 holes, the short ones had one, and then I strung wodden shapes I got from Michaels on it.
Here are a couple pictures.
The big one had 2 on the green poles and 1 on the short blue poles. The little one had only 1 on each yellow pole. It was easy, I just wished I glued them in. I will probably do that eventually.

I'll be sewing lots of baby clothes, making more bows(if it's a girl), and I would love to learn to sew either some fitted diapers or some prefolds. All you mamas that make diapers, what pattern do you use? and what fabrics? I need barney-style instructions :giggle2:

That was me too. There are lots of free patterns, but I used the ladida pattern that I had to pay for. I think it was like $8. It gives a lot of suggestions and walks you through fitteds, covers, pockets, AIO, and AI2's. It also just has a bunch of things I would have never thought about for tips and tricks when doing diapers. I am a fan of how trim and low cut it is. My kids are pretty skinny though, so not sure what it does on chunky babies. I love using bamboo for my diapers. I have done bamboo velour, bamboo terry, and bamboo flannel. It is just so soft and doesn't seem to pick up the smells that my microfiber does.
One of my friends that makes A LOT...and sells them...uses the trimsies pattern and really likes that one. I would just start googling and see what you like the look of. There are so many great ones out there.

I can't wait to start, but with my nervousness about this baby "sticking" I am putting on the brakes for just a bit.
I wanna make a blanket, clothes, and hairbows - if it's a girl...
Just have to wait and see.

I'll second the La-di-da pattern. Worth the money and the fit is really good and trim too.

DD (I made it big, thinking it should fit in the spring/summer) This was my first skirt!!

Hoping these will fit NB, probably a bit long but I don't mind rolling the cuff for a couple weeks. It's 100% merino recycled wool. So happy how my first pair of longies turned out, hoping they hold up... oh and are leak proof!

And while I'm doing show & tell, I made this last week for my friend's 1st baby girl due November. DD is not happy that it is not hers :goodvibes:

I plan to knit soakers & maybe longies. Probably a couple of hats too, but it'll be hard to squeeze that in as I'll be hip deep in RN school through this pregnancy!
