I wasn't sure if I should put this in kitchen or here. I thought it would go ok here b/c I had to paint the eggs :)

Thanks Mindi for sharing the recipe!! Since we are moving, the kids and I didn't get to do too much for Easter. Maybe this week when we are a tad more settled, we can do this together!

Are those eggs still in the shell? I think it looks kinda wierd. But I'm glad you enjoyed it!

yes, they were put into the bread raw and cooked in the oven. They were the best!

that looks cool! ... but cna you explain something to me? ... if the eggs still have the shell on them...how do you eat it with the bread? Do you have to pull the eggs out and then take the shell off and then stick it back in teh bread? or do you just eat it separately?

What you do is dye the eggs first (if you want) then put them in the raw dough and let it ride the 45 minutes. Bake it for 50 minutes and the bread bakes around it. Then I cut it up into sections, some with an egg and some without. I took a piece that had an egg in it and just ate around it. You can't really pull the egg out b/c it is baked in.

Do you just deshell it and eat the egg with it? Or just have the egg seperately later?

So you eat the shell? Does it become soft as the bread cooks or is it still crunchy?

What I did was eat around the bread with my meal and when I got to the egg I just ate it with my supper. I put the leftovers in the fridge.

nope, you don't eat the shell. You eat it just like a regular hard boiled egg.

So how do you get the shell off? do you just peel it off with the bread and not eat the part of the bread the shell is stuck to?

Mindi

Most of the bread peels away from it, but not all of it. I ate some of the bread that was stuck to it :giggle: then you just crack it like a regular hard boiled egg
