I know that it is possible to get pregnant while breastfeeding but my question is this...last night ny husband and i had an oopsie. Is it reasonable to think that since my period hasnt returned yet then we are mosy likely alright??? I am NOT ready for another baby yet, my son is only 6m old! Of course if i were to be pregnant then it would still be a wonderful blessing, it would just be really hard

Probably ok. Unless you were just getting ready to get AF back and caught your first ovulation. I would wait 4-6 weeks and test if you wanted to be absolutely sure. :)

Yea i am also kind of worried that since i dont have my period i would have no indication that i was pregnant until like my second trimester. I guess i will just take a test in 6wks to make sure

um... i would take a test. same thing happened to me, but i got pregnant. my kids are only 15 months apart. Same situation and everything ( I was breastfeeding exclusively, hadnt got my first period yet) ...yeah its hard...lol. :)

OMG! I am kind of freaking out now. I had sort of let it go to the back of my mind and then yesterday I was in the breakroom at our office and I couldn't even go near the coffee machine without gagging :( I have not been taking prenatals like I should AND I am breastfeeding so I am worried that if I am pregnant then my baby could have something wrong with it because I was too lazy to take my vitamins ;( But then again, the oopsie happened only two weeks ago so it would be too early for symptoms so maybe I am reading into somthing that is really nothing...<sigh> Idk, I am just really anxious to find out one way or another. I kind of hope my period decides to make its come back so that I don't have to go through this again. I like not having a period but it sucks not having that definite sign that you are pregnant. Anyways, it's another two weeks before I can even test right? It's a month after you DTD when you can first test???

If the oopsie happened two weeks ago if you had ovulated that would put you at roughly 4wks pregnant. Not to early for symptoms at all. I would take a test. :hugs:

Don't worry about the vitamin thing, even if you are/do get pregnant. So many women get so nauseated in pregnancy that they can't take vitamins religiously or at all. I barely took any with our first two because I was so sick. I was actually able to take them with our third. All three were equally healthy.

most likely you're ok but I would still take a test in about 3 weeks to be on the safe side.
