Yeast. :) The worker ants will take the dry yeast back to the queen, where she will eat it. The yeast will expand and rise in her stomach causing her to literally blow up. No queen, no nest. No nest, no ants :)

One we've alway used is borax/sugar 1:1. I mix some up in a bowl, then put about a tbsp on each ant hill. Works like a charm.
I like the yeast one though. Less toxic with LO's around:thumbsup:

If you can find the nest, pour hot, soapy water in it. Dishsoap kills ants and finding the nest is the best way to get rid of them. Good luck!

Peppermint EO will work too if you have them coming in the house. Add it to your countertop spray. Also if you see their walking line. The Borax is a great tip too!

Does this work for fire ants? We have those BAD in Texas and they don't seem to die even with harsh chemicals... :( Those bad boys eat the poison and I swear I've seen them give me the finger and continue on with their evilness. :giggle2:
