Here's an odd question... twice now I have woken up in the morning, and my uterus is not in the center of my body, but instead all the way to the right side. Like completely to the right of my belly button. What on earth is that about?? Anyone else have a creepy moving uterus? :headscratch:

I assume it's just baby getting heavier and gravity pulling things over. My belly moves dramatically depending on which way I lay.

Are you sure it's your uterus and not just the bump of the baby? Although, your uterus can definitely move around in there too, depending on where/how baby is lying.

I remember this from my first pregnancy but I thought it was just the baby settling over on one side because of gravity. But maybe that drags the uterus along with it! It is a weird feeling!

It's the whole thing, I can tell because I'm 17 weeks so it's only maybe 7" in diameter and not quite to my belly button. When I stand up my "bump" of intestines and stuff looks normal, but when I was lying flat on my back I could clearly feel my round uterus way over on the right! It does feel similar to towards the end of pregnancy, when you can feel the baby's back on one side or the other, but it's too early for that, I think. I'm sure the answer is gravity, and maybe old, stretchy ligaments!

just gravity pulling your uterus whichever way you are laying. I think its normal- happens to me with all my pregnancies.

It happened to me one am when my bladder was really really full displacing everything.

I've never noticed that but how weird that must be! I'd prolly say it's moving b/c of less toned muscles and stretched ligaments. Oh the joys of pregnancy!

It's just baby settling in where comfortable. My sisters daughter used to kick herself off centered in the middle of the day, and my sister would then have to "move" her back into place!
