In terms of things that need to be shaped like dough- rolled cookie dough. I use it to form a shortening free pie crust that has to be refrigerated. Its also used to roll out the sticky dough so I am not sure i could replace it there with anything cloth without sticking. I guess I could possibly roll it out in between to silicone mats. What else can I use? Cheese cloth?

maybe something similar to what they use to line reusable sandwich wraps and snack bags? not sure what that material is...

Not sure how re-useable it would be, but at least its compostable.
