I just saw this fun thread over at the October due date discussion group (simply because it was the latest one that had been posted in in the due date discussion board) and thought maybe it would be fun if we talked about this, too.

So according to the Biorhythm thingy we're leaning towards a girl (what my husband thinks anyway) and I am actually tempted right now to do the baking soda test...I know, it's silly but my husband is working nights and I got nothing better to do :goodvibes:

HAHAHA, I just did this! and the baking soda test. my red and blue cross at the very center line. What's that mean?

and my pee didn't foam. :(

I googled biorythm to see if I could find another one that just said the answer for me, and found a random thing that asked for father's DOB, mothers dob, and conception. It said Boy.

we've only agreed on girl names, though hahaha.

everything I've done says boy (which duh, makes sense! this baby and DS were conceived on the same darn day! Of course they all say boy lol).

Buuuuuuut with how sick I am, we're thinking a possible girl!

The biorhythm and baking soda say boy for me, but every other test and quiz has said girl, lol. My gut feeling is girl. I'm so anxious to find out for sure!

If I am reading the biorhythm right, then boy. I haven't done the baking soda test yet, waiting until 10 weeks. I have both boy.girl guesses depending on which Chinese calendar you use :) lol

So I did the baking soda test and it foamed! So that would mean boy even though the biorhythm predicted a girl...we will see :) Last time we didn't want to find out until birth and it was amazing but this time my husband and I decided to find out beforehand and now I can hardly wait!!!
So what other tests/quizzes are out there?

There are loads of Chinese gender predictors and quizzes. I just randomly Google and take them LOL.

I'm thinking of buying the inteligender upset test. A few of my friends have done it and all but one was correct. Its around $30.

I've read in a pregnancy magazine that there are at home test you can take. Crazy if you ask me! But if you end up taking it, let us know what it says!

Anyway, when I was pregnant with our daughter my OB back in Germany could tell her sex at 12 weeks in an ultrasound. He didn't tell us though, because we didn't want to know. We moved to the States in the beginning of my second trimester so I obviously had to change doctors. But he told me to call him once the baby is born and ask him about his prediction without telling him what we had. I did - and he was right! He told me he always "guesses" around 12 weeks and so far he has NEVER been wrong! Amazing, huh?

My OB here in Germany has a great prediction percentage too! Usually can tell at 12-14weeks and if he is wrong he buys the dad a case of Bitburger (the locally brewed beer). Ha!

Ha, I like that! Makes me miss living in Germany a little...
I'm curious to see if your husband will get a case of Bitburger then!

Well he was right with my son, so no beer for him! Ha :) I am really hoping for a girl this time around so we shall see. And all my friends that have gone to him have been correct (so that is 5/5 out of people I know!)

The only thing saying Girl right now is the "old wives tale" quiz online...

ha ha, I took some quizzes online the other night and everything came back girl...might be because it's a bit too early for some questions (like are you carrying high or low, does your husband put on sympathy weight, are you craving sweet or salty) so I just went with what was true last time with our daughter!
