I was thinking that since we have a belly pictures thread, maybe we could have an ultrasound thread too? Especially because we'll all get ultrasounds at different times, and it's nice to see an idea of where our babies are at that stage.

I had my first ultrasound today (12 weeks) and was kind of nervous. I've felt so well that I wouldn't have been surprised if there was no baby, but there was - a wiggly little bean with arms and legs, stretching and kicking. It was amazing.

Here "he" is: (I think it's a boy)

I kinda wish I could get an ultrasound between 11-15 weeks so you can see all of baby in one picture. None of my pictres looks like a real baby yet and itsmaking me nervous :-/

Great pix! I won't be having one unless it is necessary & sure hoping it isn't... nothing like the stress of something being wrong.

We had another one at 10.5 weeks but no pics. It was super quick, just long enough to see babe and heartbeat :) I have another ultrasound scheduled April 2nd.

Awww, thank you!! I have had the hardest time w/DS site lately (or my browser or my computer :headscratch:)... it got even worse after they updated last week.

I am sooooooo nauseous... just laying low.... & trying to hold my food down! LOL Nice weather here today though, so that should help when I can get my DDs out in it.

Where is the belly pix thread (can't find it)... or maybe there isn't one?? I will have to get pix from this week & post...

We heard the HB 1 1/2 weeks ago on doppler... 160... I think GIRL (not having anything to do w/the heartbeat), so we'll see. Everybody keeps saying boy, which REALLY makes me think GIRL! I would be so excited to have another girl... I  my girls... a boy would be great too... kind of scary though in unchartered territory! LOL I read the heartbeat is only higher for girls in labor, so we'll see... I hope I can remember to ask when i labor & we'll see if it is higher then too, & what baby is. I keep calling baby a "she" anyway! LOL

I'm 15 weeks and can have a 'dating ultrasound' this week if I want, but my insurance won't give me a straight answer if it will be covered or not in addition to the BIG ultrasounds in a few weeks. I'm debating just doing it an hoping for the best since it will be our first ultrasound this pregnancy. But if they charge a bunch, we can't pay it. I hate insurance sometimes. I'm so close to the BIG ultrasound that I may just wait. I'm pretty sure on my LMP date anyways

I had an u/s 2 weeks ago at 12 weeks. Wheeee!!! I'm so excited!

I had a dream last night that my midwife did an ultrasound and I forgot to tell her we don't want to know the sex, so she told me it's a girl! I cried in my dream because I was so sad that the surprise was gone but also from excitement about a girl. Now I'll be extra careful next month at the 20 week to mention I want to be surprised!

My early 3d gender scan is only 4 days away, eeeeeek!!!!! I'm so worried that the baby won't cooperate and I'll be disappointed. So much so that I almost called yesterday to see if I could push it out another week. Crazy, right? I'm convinced the baby is a girl, and if I'm being 100% honest, I really want another girl (it would be much easier with room sharing and I love knitting all the ruffles and skirts). I'm a little scared that there will be some disappointment if they say it's a boy. Don't get me wrong, I won't be devastated by any means, I adore my mama's boys, but I'll feel horribly guilty if I feel the slightest amount of disappointment. How's that for a crazy preggo?

So exciting! I have my 17 week appt on April 3rd. She said she may be able to see what it is. If not, I will find out at 20 weeks. I understand about the disappointment. I wanted a dd too because odd was 2 and same thing, room share, hand me downs, etc. But I got my little boy and he is the apple if my eye. Dont feel guilty if you are briefly sad, feelings are normal.

I have two boys and a girl too. I was feeling like I would be disappointed, but actually today I came up with a boy name that I LOVE! So that has really helped me to change my mind and be excited for another boy. I don't know if that might help you not feel disappointed. It doesn't help when everyone else's expectation is to have a girl too. I am fine either way, but like you I worried about feeling the slightest disappointment. Now I love the name and would be thrilled to use it!

Hi mamas! I had an ultrasound today, at 12w6d and everything looked good, baby was kicking and waving his/her arms and legs, stretching and flipping. This time the placenta is on the back of my uterus, which means I might feel movement much earlier than with my first baby (the placenta was in the front, and it took forever to feel her kicks). My due date has been moved to Sept 20.

The pic is just from a webcam, but it gives an idea!

Thanks! I had 3 dreams last night about my ultrasound today. The first one was great (weird, but good, haha they put a camera in my neck to see the baby) and it was def a boy in the dream, the other two dreams I didn't get to see the sex. I was on pins and needles all morning.
