Is it odd for a child thats not even 5 yet to get them??
My son told me that he was brushing his teeth and something hurt him, so I looked and he's getting a bottom molar, which is fine, he is 6 1/2. My dd said to me "Look, am I getting any?" and I looked just to please her, and lo and behold, she's getting in 2 of the top ones! She will be 5 in May!

I dont know if it makes any difference but she got her 1st tooth at like 4 or 5 mos old, so maybe thats why she's getting them so early??

I wouldn't worry about it too much. My anatomy textbook shows them about to erupt at 5 years +/- 9months and full erupted at age 7 +/- 9months.

I used to work in a dental office and we had a patient with a baby that had teeth coming in at 2 months.

I think different teeth just come in at different times for different children. DD is getting her top molars and has no eye teeth and still only 2 total on the bottom. DH's granson is 2 months younger than DD and got bottom 2, eye teeth, then middle top 2. It's different for all kids. I wouldn't worry!

DS got his at 4.5, DD, who is 6, still has none.
DH got his teeth early and lost his teeth early.
DD got her late and hasn't lost any, yet...

So, yeah, Rhi - normal!

My dd got her first teeth a 2mo, and your dd is normal. 4 is OK, just be happy you know so you can brush them.
