Can you remove the internal harness from the BBII? My son is three, so he doesn't need the support. Thanks!

I don't think it comes out. Could you just not use it? What does the Beco site say?

No, there's not really a way to use the Butterfly without putting the kiddo in between the Y panel and the body. It's a load bearing part of the structure of the carrier.
There are lots of other big kid friendly buckle carriers that don't have that type of design though, if you are looking for something more user friendly. BabyHawk Oh Snap and Kinderpack are both great carriers for older kids, just to name a couple.

Thanks so much! I was just watching videos and I don't think it'll be an issue. Hope he likes it in there. We are doing a lot of camping and hiking this year!
