New to Homeschooling

I REALLY want to start homeschooling after this school year's end. I have a 10yo, 8yo and 1yo. Any advice? I feel a bit overwhelmed as to where to start!

I would start with the HSLDA (http://www.hslda.org/Default.asp?bhcp=1) to find the laws in your state and see what it all entails. Some states have to do almost nothing while others have to jump through hoops on a weekly basis.

As far as curicculum. Check out the sticky at teh top of this form there are alot of links. One I'm not sure if it's up there is the Homeschool Super Center, tons of different curiculums you can get packages or mix n match.

Have you talked to your kids to prepare them for this? Also I would look around for a homeschool group in your area, they are great for support and some have regular field trips & meetings.
