Other than cards and coupons, I found a great way for me to save time & money at the market.

I shop online first. I sit down with my recipies and put into an online cart everything I need. You can see all sales and even shop by catagory and cheapest items. (Vons.com). HOWEVER, I do not have them delivered. I print off the sheet and take it with me as my shopping list. It has everything I need on it:
Item
Price of each item
Most important: Total cost
I like this method because I am not at the store for too long and I have no surprises at the checkout counter. I hate it when it looks like I only have $40 worth of groceries and the total is actually close to $120!

Might not work for all, but I thought that I would share what works for us!

I love vons delivery. i can find a free delivery code with $50 purchase about once a month and order everything i dont have a coupon for and stock up on heavy items so i dont have to haul everything up to my condo...think an 8lb bag of frozen french fries and a months worth of 2liter sodas and a stockpile of on sale meat. this last time i ended up with a free case of bottled water and 3 bottles of bbq sauce for .25 each using their promo codes WOOHOO and who doesnt love a hunky delivery guy hauling groceries in and putting them on the counter, now thats a good day in my book.
