Hello,
My baby Izzy always clicks when she eats. It hasn't really caused me any pain (though my nipples do seem more sore lately - she's only 6 weeks old), but she does seem to et a lot of gas. Any thoughts on how o correct this or should I try to find a lc?

Have you tried different positions? I know we all tend to get comfortable with the same position, but perhaps if you try a new one she will notice that something is different and she will stop. Once she gets out of the habit then you can go back to that position. I would try that first. HTH!

Clicking is usually a sign of some potential latch problems. I'd suggest going to http://www.kellymom.com and reading over the information on latch; if you can't find anything to improve on your own, maybe call a LLL leader or a LC.
Chances are you can make a few simple changes to improve her latch, get more milk and less air in her tummy, and have no soreness for you!

Try the football hold that way, you can see her latch good! Kelly mom is good and so is Dr. Newman.

My daughter did this with every position I held her in. She just outgrew it. It didnt cause her problems and didnt hurt me so we didnt change it.

DS did that for a little too when he was a newborn. Did you check her bottom lip? If it's not everted, the sucking noise is really noticeable. That was the problem with DS. DH would push his chin down so his latch was correct. That helped eleviate his gas problems some.
I would contact someone from LLL if you can't figure it out, unless you have $ to get a LC.
