All right CD mamas. What do y'all use for a diaper bag. I have found now that I am CDing my Kate Spade bag is WAY WAY WAY too small. So I am thinking about getting this one... http://www.cottonbabies.com/product_info.php?cPath=52&products_id=748

What do you think? What do you use? FTR I have 2 kiddos in CDs so I have to have room for at least 4 dipes and a change of clothes for the baby as well as all my crap (cell phone, wallet, keys).

yeah that!!!!

I would NEVER pay that much for a diaper bag!! I bet you could get a nicer WAHM made one for less than that, and custom too!!

My Kate Spade was about that so the $$ isn't an issue (and it would be a mother's day gift from the girls). Who makes diaper bags? I LOVE to support WAHMs, but I can't find any that are taking custom orders for bags. Give me some linkies please!

I like that bag. I use a 2 Red Hens bag and I love it. It's the large "Whole Roost" bag. I also like the messenger bags by OI OI - they are nice and roomy

I had the same problem! Switching to cloth made my diaper bag WAY too small!
I also had a spitty baby, so we had to pack a TON! Anyways, I ended up getting a Lexie Barnes Superstar, and it is perfect! It works well stuffed to the gills, and holding just a little...

Diaper bags are a whole 'nother addiction!

have fun!!:p

My mom made my bag. I love it since I told her what I wanted and she did it. She is in to making bags right now. I had her put a wall in my bag so I can have a compartment to stack all my diapers and then a bunch of pockets. It works great. I agree if you can find a WAHM that can make you a custom bag, you would probably love it.

I have an LLBean custom tote small (We aren't usually out a super long time, but you could get a large) with long straps that's natural body, pink bottom and turquoise straps with pink zip top. THEN when I started CDing and heard about NappSacks I found one that matched PERFECTLY. It's pink with flowers. I like a basic open spaced bag with the zipper. Does the trick for me.

I am just starting my diaper bag addiction - lol.

I have a lexie barnes darling, I LOVE it but it would definately be too small with 2 kiddos. I have heard a ton of good things about the superstar though and I am sure it would be big enough.

LMK if you order, a couple of shops are running coupon codes now. (20% off)

For day to day trips out and about we use a Lands' End Little Tripper. It comfortably holds a change of clothes, wetbag, wipe bag and wipes, sling, and 3 diapers. It also has exterior pockets. We have one for my older boy too, and because it doesn't look like a diaper bag, we're still using it for him; it's also very Dad-friendly!

I use the "Road Trip" bag by O'gio. It's actually a messeger bag, not a diaper bag, but I love it!! Out of the millions of diaper bags I've tried, this one is by far my fave. Besides, it comes in really cute colors!!

Good Luck!

My favorite is my Kate Spade messenger bag. I don't know what size your Kate Spade is. I can pack it with 8 Motherease dipes, a couple of wool covers & a change of clothes, but I keep my junk to the min with a cell phone & wallet pretty much. If I am out & about, I found it really great to keep a crate in the back of the car with extra dipes, outfits, etc and just take in the store or wherever, just the minimum. That has really helped having all kinds of extras just in the back of the car for those unexpected moments :goodvibes: As for the $$$ aspect, it is fun to splurge once in a while kwim? That is a really cute bag you are looking at and is made specifically with CD in mind. Have fun with it!

I asked about bags a couple of weeks ago on DP and someone suggested The Joy Bag. She was part of the group of moms who gave input on the design of the bag. I've ordered an XL in the Candyland and am waiting for it to come, so can't say if it will work or not, but so far, the transaction has gone well, so thought I'd point this WAHM out.

That's kinda what my bag looks like but no WAY would I spend $120! lol I'm way too cheap for that! It cost me about $15-20 in materials to make. ;) There a TONS of mamas on ds who make them (me included, but I'm still learning) - I bet you could get one for 1/2 that, CUSTOM-MADE for you by a ds mama! :D

I have a diaper bag by Sherpani. They make other kinds of bags. The one I have is a messenger style and is SUPER sporty-cute. It has lots of pockets inside 2 bottle pockets on the outside, little pockets for your cell phone and whatever else. I use it daily. I can keep a wetbag, 2 AIO trainers, 3 snack cups, my wallet, small make-up bag, a sippy cup, my water bottle, and even a change of clothes. I wear it across my chest so I don't get back pain. Most of the time, it's on the stroller.

I am seriously having diaperbag issues. I had 2 Petunia Pickle Bottom bags and sold one. They are cute, I love the shoulder strap backpack option. But hate the lack of organization. I saw on the yahoo diaperbag group a cute bag. I think it is a wahm based out of san francisco. Anyone have any ideas who this is? Thanks, Carol

Diaper bags...my obsession before cloth!! I swear for all my kids I've had at least 4 bags before we didnt need one anymore!

I was using a small tote bag but then we switched to cloth & it only held one stuffed pocket :( So I bought an Eddie Bauer midi sized bag. It came with a wet bag (holds 2-3 dipes). It has a big zipper part for my "woman" stuff, fits 3 stuffed pockets, wallet, keys (has a clip bungie for those so i dont lose them), little mesh bags for my wallet & stuff, cehckbook, pen, some sposie wipes & my cloth wipe bag & foaming wipe stuff, 2 bottle/sippy holders, changing pad, 2 carry handles or a padded strap, it holds a ton but is very compact. We actually did an 8hr mall trip & were able to carry everything we needed in it!

I am using a vera bradley that I had gotten on sale (was a discontinued print) but I find it a little too bulky and don't like the double straps so I just ordered this one: http://store.yahoo.com/dreamtimebaby/cacastfldiba.html.

seems like a really good deal for what it is and I love the messenger style. If I love the bag I'll probably be selling my VB on the fsot since it's in like new condition :giggle:

I had a great Eddie Bauer backpack that just was too bulky, but didn't hold enough. It was strange. I recently purchased a Hoohobbers diaper bag. They are really cute, and hold everything I need. 4-5 diapers, wipes, jammies, change of clothes, and lunch. Plus some misc. stuff. It is full, but it is all in there. :giggle:

That looks like a nice bag but I have a horrible addiction to Kate Spade bags so I would just buy a larger one. What size is yours? I have a smaller messenger bag that is only good for a short time out but then I have a large, open top KS bag that is perfect for throwing whatever you need in there.
Here is the larger KS bag that I have and it has plenty of room for CD's in it!

Another Vera fan here...
I started with the "BabyBag" but recently bought a "Carry-All". The CA looks a bit less diaperbagish, and holds as much as the Baby bag! Love it-

(PS mamas120-what print do you have? I have the new Java blue-it makes me smile every time I see it :))

I'm glad I'm not in need/want of a new bag... but the clutterbags listed up a bit have some of the same fabrics as the BH carriers! I'm looking around and HOPING I don't see one that matches the BH I just ordered! lol

A bunch of people have recommended the Lexie Barnes Superstar to me, so I ordered one for 20% off at bebecandy.com. It ended up costing $96 including shipping.
