We're camping for a week and can only use a propane camp stove or charcoal grill to cook. I really don't want hot dogs for a week.:yuck: Any ideas on easy luch and dinner meals would be appreciated. It will just be me, DH and my 19mo DD.

we take hamburger patties, cut up patato, onion, green peppers, put it all in foil with a little oil and throw it in the fire for about 15 min. Flipping every few min.

Take an apple and core it. put a marshmellow or pb. rap in foil and put in fire till soft.
Not health but you are camping so who cares.

i'm not a camper either - but a friend of mine who is really likes the sealed pouches of tuna for a change of pace - like mixed in with a pasta/grain salad.

Can you use a fire?

Well we do lots of premade meals... like you can cook just about anything in a foil pouch - just make before you go. We slice up chicken & veggies w/saucse & seal in individual portions in a foil pouch... you can do any meat... DH does steak even. GL

I don't know if you have already gone on your trip, but we used to take ham when we went camping. It is precooked so all you have to do is heat and eat. Wrap it in foil with some honey or brown sugar. Or dice it up in fried potatoes. Or cook it with scrambled eggs and make toast.

One of our favorites is Spaghetti. I just boil the water on the propane stove. The kids love scrambled eggs for breakfast. I keep the eggs in the cooler.
