Hey any moms out there know off hand what you can take for a cold - fever stuffy nose kinda cold??? I know there is a book that tells you which ones are ok, but I cant remember the name of it to google it?????
If you can make it to the healthfood store, get some Umcka or Sambucol to help that cold go away MUCH faster. I know that the Umcka will also help with the sniffles while it's boosting your immunity and helping your body to heal faster. :)
When we start getting a cold, we take it 5 times a day and instead of the cold lasting up to 2 weeks, it's gone in 3-5 days. :) And it's safe for PG and nursing mama's too ;)

Well, if you're looking for something you'd get that's an over-the-counter drug, I know my pedi said Sudafed is safe. But I found it can tend to affect your milk supply. So I prefer to go with natural herbs and supplements that are safe. One natural remedy that I really like is Umcka Cold Care (http://www.seacoastvitamins.com/topic.php?health=umcka+cold). Now, I've never taken this one while pg or breastfeeding, so I'm not sure on that. Kellymom doesn't address every single cold remedy, and I don't think that one's on the list. So you might have to check with your pediatrician first. But it does work well if you're able to take it.

I just got over a sinusy cold and I took mucinex dm...I pretty much avoided sudafed but I have heard that fenugreek is good for sinuses and will help increase your supply

I don't think mucinex is okay for nursing??? Can someone double check on that?
