Ok, this is long. Sorry.
My hubby and I practice NFP (The Creighton model). I haven't had a "real" period since Connor was born (Oct. 6th, 2006) just a few days of light stuff twice. OK, this is the part that is crazy, all day today there has been nothing. Dry, dry, dry. Now this evening lots of peek type mucus. By the way we were together last night. So now I am wondering what my odds of being pg are. We just decited today to start trying, but come on, we talk about it and then my body decides to ovulate:headscratch:
OK this is what it has been like:
Connor's birth until May 1st totally 100% dry!!!
May 1st to May 4th, light to very light spotting.
May 5th to June 10th. DRY!!
June 11th to June 13th very light to VL spotting.
June 14th to July 17th, DRY, DRY, DRY.
WE did the wild thing last night. :blush:
TODAY, long srtetchy clear mucus.
What do you think? Am I ovulating? Can I ovulate this late in a cycle? Normally my cycles are 7 days med flo (sorry for all the info).
Nothing like the last 2.
Also I did a pg test a week ago just to make sure, and it was negative.
We have 4 boys and would like to plan and to try for a girl. IF I did ovulate, do you think there is a chance for a girl or do you think it is another boy.
My other 4 we did the wild thing on ovulation day, this time is the day before???????
What do you think??
Oh, and my almost 3 yr old told me I had a baby in my tummy at bed time today.:headscratch: :headscratch:
Ok, that is waaaaaaaayyyy long. PLEASE give me your thoughts.
One more thing, how long would I have to wait to test? I can't go by my period being late because I do not know when that would be. KWIM???

Sounds like you may be ovulating, however, I get LOTS of mucus about 12-24 hrs after DH and are 'together', but that's just me.
I would wait about 2 weeks and then test. It sounds like such a long time, doesn't it? Good luck and keep us posted! :goodvibes:

OK, this is probably a silly thing to ask, but do you think there's any chance the stretchy stuff is leftover sperm from last night? Guess you'd know from past experiences, but thought I'd ask since I've dealt with that a lot lately... :hugs: And good luck!

I do not think so, becaust it was crystal clear and I did have a tiny bit first thing this morning, but nothing all day.KWIM??
Then at about 8 pm is when the mucus showed up. I am known for having only one day of good mucus maybe 2 at the most for ovulation. :giggle: That is how we had Noah, Garritt, Payton and Connor.:giggle:

For what it's worth, 2 weeks ago my 3 year old son told DH as I was getting up to go to the bathroom that I had a baby in my tummy.
Yesterday I got a BFP! :mrgreen:

We were lazily TTA when we got pregnant with this babe. I was only checking CM, not temping.
We DTD on a dry day, next day I woke up with lube/EW CM (I knew it was CM, I can tell the difference after 5+ years using charting/checking CM.) Figured, "Nah!" and then ovulated 5 days later, so I was pretty sure we was probably safe. A few days later I started getting those all too familiar feelings and KNEW we were pregnant. The tests just confirmed it. :giggle:

I just can't believe that we would talk about starting to try yesterday, when I have already been on week 5 in my cycle, and that day I would ovulate.:lostit:
I am trying not to get excited, but I LOVE being preggos.

I think its semen, if you did an OPK you would probably still see a + (or nearly +) if you did actually O, but usually the return to fertility is much more gradual with a cople "false starts" before your first "real" postpartum ovulation.

I think it sounds like you O'd or you're going to O very soon. I just started checking CM a few weeks ago and I read on Fertility Friend that semen doesn't stretch like CM does, so I think it's probably CM and not semen by the way you're describing it. If you really did O or are going to, your CM will likely dry up tomorrow or the next day. That would be a good clue, and then test in 12-14 days.

Yep, I think I might have ovulated. My mucus is less than half the strechiness of last night. Also no hankey pankey last night, (trying for a girl). Every time we have done the deed on ovulation day I have a boy.:giggle:
Waiting for 2 weeks is going to be torchure!!!

Sounds like you may be ovulating momma.
And if you did you'd probably end up with another boy I would think.
As for the when to test. Give it 10 days (if you are a POAS addict) or 12-14 days from today and test if nothing shows up.

i would say that your two spotting episodes were anovulatory AFs and that this very well could be the real deal! or your body could just have tried to O and not actually o'd .. i O'd VERY late (like CD40ish) my first few PP cycles - so it is totally possible to O late .. your LP is likely to be very short though your first few O's (esp if you're bfing) so that would make pregnancy more unlikely..

With 3 of my boys (I was not checking CM with the first) I was dry, dry, dry, had fun with my hubby, peek type mucus the next day, very little mucus the next day, then dry again.
