My DS turned 4 months old today and I noticed an emerging tooth a couple of days ago. I was taken aback , because my other son didn't start teething until WAY later. Another disturbing thing is that it appears to be a top canine tooth, which isn't typical for one of the firsts, and it is emerging through the front of his gum rather from the bottom. Could this be why is is exposed this early? Is he really teething or could it stay like that for a while? Is he going to have a funky fang while he has his baby teeth? So confusing, hm...:headscratch:

My son starting cutting two bottom teeth at 4m...
I would take him to the dentist to just see if it really is "teeth" sometimes babies get like little hard blister type bubbles that look and feel like teeth coming in, but its not... They go away... :)

Its possible. My LO has been teething for a month and he is 4 months old now.

Both my girls had their 2 bottom teeth at four months. It was so weird to me also because my older son was 9 months before he cut a single tooth!

Maybe this is what it is. It looks like a little whitehead, but Really hard like a tooth. My original thought was, "is this some kind of calcium deposit" (i am still in denial that it is a tooth...to strange for me)

My dd started teething at 4 months old - it was terrible only having the little gummy smile for such a short time.

All of my DC had at least 1 tooth by 3 months of age and a full mouth of teeth by 1 yr..but surprise they never really used me as a chew toy ..i stopped that as soon as it started

DD has her two bottom teeth, and has had them since she was three months. She looks so cute!

DS1 got his first tooth at 4 months. DS2 at 7 months Different kids just develop differently.
