My dd is almost 3 and she PL'd for awake time just after turning 2 but still used trainers for naps and CDs for night. She has been dry at nap and night for one week. We co-sleep so I don't want to wake up to a flood. I'm wondering how long to wait until we are in the clear to be able to go without CDs. ...it will be a sad day in a way:cry:

Similar situation here. One day my daughter just said, "I think I'm ready to go down for nap and for bed with just undies." And that was it. I couldn't believe it. There were a couple accidents the first month but no accidents for the last month.
I had her wear non-waterproof trainers to bed the first couple weeks and she did fine with those so now she can wear just regular underwear to bed.
My three big tips are to limit what she drinks an hour before bed, make sure she pees (and knows to get it ALL out right before she goes to bed), and put a towel under her sheets if she's especially overtired or sick. Really the only times my daughter's had a wet accident in the night/morning is when she's been way overtired.

How do you know when to start selling your diapers? DS has been wearing trainers for about a week..... Still has accidents but have only used his diapers once a day and at night....

DUH - Read closer Abigail....
I'd say, give it a shot, she may be ready!
My DS has woken up dry a few days in a row, I let him wear undies, and then his bed is soaked- he's just not ready yet. Good luck mama!

My DS pretty much woke up dry soon after he was day-time PL'ed. But I put him in diapers at night for at least a month of waking up dry. Don't forget to use a waterproof mattress cover or a Nekkie Blankie!
tmolly - you can start selling your dipes now if you are 100% sure that you're not going to give up even if he regresses.
