Sob... I think DS has a cavity....

:crying: One of his molars has a black dot on it... Can't seem to brush it out.... Am I the only 3yo with a cavity? We haven't gotten him dental insurance because I wasn't planning on taking him to the dentist until he was 3.5 (January). Should I take him now? He's a little scaredy cat, so I didn't want to scar him for rest of his life...

He hates getting his teeth brushed. He doesn't mind brushing on his own, but he's not very good at it.

My son has decaying teeth and he is younger than yours. DS dacay started out like light brown spot, I think the black must be something else.

The black could simply mean that it has progressed. My own cavities all got to be like that.
