Turns out I'm starting daycare for a friend tmw--both are RF in Britax Blvds. My DD is 17 m/o and 19 lbs, while my daycare child is 7m and 23 lbs. Of the 3 places in the back seat, where do I put the kids? One in the middle and another on the side? Both on the sides? If one in the middle, which one? I should turn off the side air bags, or no?
I don't plan on driving anywhere w/ them tmw...or even Fri, probably as I try to adjust to the new baby's sleep/feeding sked. Just want to have the carseats placed just in case.
Any suggestions?

How ever they fit the best! If you can get them nice and snug with one in the middle do that if not put them both side board (next to doors). I always find that more convenient for the parents because there’s not as much leaning over.
Not much help huh? Sorry!

well sicne theyre in britax, they shoudl be tethered rfing (they dont have to be, but you should when you can). and so i would say put them both outboard. youre probably not going to get a good fit side by side anyways, especially not in a car as opposed to an SUV.

oh and if you have side curtian airbags then dont worry theyre ok. but if you have side impact airbags, then thats another story. typically it isnt advised to install a seat next to one, bu ti would check your owners manual (for your car) and see what that says.

Great, thx. I'll read the car manual now. I have an SUV, BTW.

Ok, I will.
So, DH says that you can't tether RF--only FF. He also says our car's manual says nothing about the kinds of air bags we have in the back seat. Is he just blind? I told him to lift the seats up and see if there was anything to attach tethers to and he said no. Grrr. He also says our manual says nothing about whether we have LATCH or not and that he's just following the pic to put the seatbelt thru the carseat and that's it. Perhaps I need to pay a visit to highway patrol next week :headscratch:
Thx for your input, mama. This daycare thing came up really quickly on me and I haven't had time to prepare :(
