I want all the ideas now, so I have a plan after this baby is born. I'm 5'5" and before getting pregnant (this time) I was about 190. Before I ever got pregnant, I was 121 and 18yo. This will be my 4th baby. Dh will be deploying a week or two before the baby is born and will be gone for a year (with a 2 week leave sometime around 6-9 months). I am determined this time to lose weight. I will be breastfeeding exclusively so it has to work with that. I also have 3 other kids to cook for, so it has to work with that.
So, what have you done to lose the baby weight??

Since you'll be bf'ing the best "diet" would be a well rounded healthy one. You can't really cut calories, especially in the first 6-9+ months or if you have a milk supply/baby not gaining weight issue. You need extra calories for bf'ing.
For exercise the best thing to start off with is walking.
Now the very best thing to do would be to start NOW, don't wait until the baby comes. you have 3-5 weeks until it arrives and you can get walking which will build more muscle(if you haven't been exercising at all). It also helps labour. The more muscle you have now the more calories it will burn. You shouldn't be losing weight except some ladies do at the end of the pregnany. Starting walking now will help the weight come off after the baby is born.
I have read that the earlier a woman starts exercising(even short walks) after a baby is born the faster the weight comes off and the higher the chance it stays off.
After the baby is born and you have your dr/mw's okay(usually after 6 weeks) you can start a more vigorous exercise program.

I agree with CarrieMF. You should start doing some sort of exercise now, even if it means just a walk around the block. I tried to do prenatal pilates on a fairly regular basis during my pregnancy- more like sporatic tho! I wish I had done it more!
I am on WW and there are several ladies that go to meeting who have newborns and are on the program (nursing mommies!). They have had success, but are still being nourished and are nourishing their little babes. Maybe it's something you could consider? I woud definitely talk to your Dr. before starting any program.
You can lose this weight, mama!!

The Weight Watchers program is an AWESOME one! They have a nursing program, so you can lose weight and still provide for baby.

Eat mostly veggies and fruits. It is great for the baby and for weight lose. That is how I lost weight. I also drink mostly water. I have one glass of chocolate milk in the morning and then nothing but water. I also eat yogart. But I would talk to my dr before I try anything.
