What kinds are his favorite? The only things that Dh asked for were Tennis Shoes (which I have found) and work boots. Something durable and not steel toed. Now he wouldn't give me brands:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: so I need your help. I know that he like Georgia boots...but we don't presently have that kind of money! Anyone know of any brands that their Dh likes???:goodvibes:

my dh has a pair of timberland's he likes. but he's not the boot afficiaonado that some might be. he's has these same boots for probably 10 yrs. he doesn't wear them everyday, or even every week, so they have held up that long.

My dh likes Sketcher's boots. He doesn't wear them for work, but he does wear them to work on heavy stuff here and outside stuff.

Red Wings. They have held up better than any other boots he has had. The Timberlands fell apart in 9 months, Red Wings have been with us for almost 2 years!

My hubby wears Red Wings because they're steel toed, oil-slip resistant, and he can get them re-soled. They have seemed to last the longest out of all the brands he's tried.

my dh wears carharrt boots and sketcher tennis shoes....he doesnt go shopping for shoes anymore I just get the same kind every year!!

dh likes red wings, caterpillers, carhartts. or anything he can find that fits well. but he goes through any pair withing 4-6months anyway

My dad swears by Red wings too, BUT my DH hated them because he said they felt to narrow for him. I went out and bought him like 6 [pairs of work boots because he didnt want to go try them all on and brought them home. Sketchers were at the bottom of the barrel durability wise. His favorite that were comfortable and held up were his Danner Boots

Part of your choice will depend on his foot anatomy. . . but dh's favorite boots have been Dr. Martens AirWalks and they lasted for a long time. Dh had some Sketchers and some Timberlands but the Dr. Martens have been his all time favorites.
The pros for my dh and the Dr. M's are his feet are wide and there is plenty of toe room, they gave ankle support but looked stylish too. The tie "holes" guides didn't wear out prematurely, they lasted forever before they fell apart, They are stitched and therefore can be rebuilt, they were very comfortable for long periods.

Justin work boots. That is all DH will wear. GL! It is so much fun, I got DH a pair of boots 2 years ago and It took me forever to pick out a pair!

My dh has a pair of Bass boots (brown leather), LL Bean boots (hikers), and Timberland boots (work boots). He wears them all the time... loves his boots.

my DH is Navy, so he wears Bates brand for normal work days... sometimes he breaks out his "flight deck boots" which i've heard raves are the most comfortable boots in the world (no experience myself) and their brand is VIBRAM...?

Both my husband and my father wear Doc Martens as their work boots. But my dad thought the sole was too slippery on the floors he has at work and got them resoled. I, personally, like the soles on Docs because I've never gotten static electricity shocks in them (not even when getting out of the car and all other passengers did).

My DH loves his Vasque, which have lasted a long time - he's had them over10 years and are getting pretty worn now. A new pair is around $160 or more. He's a Birkenstock sandal kinda guy, too. :)

Wolverine boots my hubby swears by them. They can be worn all day and they absorb shock so its better on his knees and legs. He feels less tired and sore after a long day of work when he has wolverines, nothign else works as well (he has been a carpenter for 12 years so we have seen a lot of boots come and go)

My dh loves Rocky boots - they have steel toed ones and they're so squishy comfortable! He can wear them 12-14 hours and not have them bother him at all! Cavenders boots carries them as well as online stores.

I second the Rockys! My partner loves them - he's been a carpenter for 20+ years and is on his feet allllllll day (mostly walking around on concrete too,) and his Rockys have held up better than any other boots he's owned. He uses them when he goes hunting too, and they're the only ones that keep him dry & comfortable. Not to mention that they're as light as a pair of runners!

Dh here uses brama :headscratch: (sp?) brand at walmart :yuck: but they are good quality for about $30 bucks 2 pair last him all year and hes in construction and REALLY rough on them.

My DH loves his redwings. They've lasted for 3 years and travelled to 11 different countries. Hard travel, like hiking through rivers and over mountains in Korea. He has wide feet and they offer different widths too.

My SO wears boots everyday for his job and even when he isn't working. He usually buys the Cabelas waterproof brand. They are not a brand name but they are his favorites!
