DS is sick - fever, vomiting, miserable. I would like to disinfect where he's been, but am out of a lot and would prefer not to go to the store now. I don't have vinegar, won't use bleach. I do have some TTO, Melaleuca Sol-U-Mel (not SoluGuard - that ran out & anyway it smells bad), and a variety of Melaleuca cleaners that I don't think are intended for disinfecting, just cleaning. Any suggestions? TIA

I think the TTO is probably your best bet. What kinds of surfaces do you need to disinfect?

Did some quick googling. For disinfecting, it's 15 drops to a quart of water in a spray bottle. Will that help?

Looks like 2 Tbs to 2 cups of warm water...if I read it right. I like lemon and Thieves blend oil a bit better for cleaning...and of course vinegar for whenever you do get to the store. Do you have any lemon juice/lemons? That would be a good mild disinfectant for surface cleaning as well.

Yeah, actually I do have lemon/lime juice. I hadn't thought of that. I also have a mixed spray bottle of TTO that was, I think, 2 tsp tto/quart water that I read was good for mildew.....if you actually use it, lol. Sounds like that might work. TTO is amazing stuff, really.
I just want to wipe down the bathroom, maybe some countertops & doorknobs. I'd love to figure out a way to kill a little yuck from the couch where he was sleeping, but that can wait. The sheets I'll do in the sanitize cycle tomorrow, but should I add a little TTO when I do?

Do you have any GSE by chance? 1 quart of water and about 10-15 drops is a great sanitizer. If not, I know TTO is a great natural disinfectant/sanitizer, but I cannot find a recipe online for a cleaner.

No, I don't have any GSE though I'm starting to wish I did. I haven't gotten too far into EOs yet b/c I'm afraid once I start it will become another addiction. So many of them smell sooooo good.
