A few things for DD?

These are all things that she LOVES to play with at nursery school that I thought would be good x-mas gifts.

I am looking for a child safe magnifying glass one of the 3-4" diameter ones. I also want to find some toddler friendly items to put in a box for her to use the magnifying glass on (I already have some shells, pine cones, interesting rocks -- but I need some more ideas).

I am also looking for some sort of magnet set -- she loves playing with those at school as well. The one at school is big plastic shapes that you can use like building blocks.

They also have a scale there with plastic men that go in each side.

We have a childrens museum in our town which has a store inside it that carries items like you want do you have a childrens dicovery museum near you becuase if you do that would be the place to visit:mrgreen:

We do (one of her xmas gifts from my parents is a year membership for our family) but the gift shop doesn't really have any science exploration kits. I used to teach and I know I saw these things in one of the catalogs I just can't remember which one.

I'm possibly looking for a scale for dd as well - I think she'd love it. So let me know if you find one. I've seen a wooden one at www.rosiehippo.com but am still looking around for other options.
