Hopefully this one hasn't been done already. I just discovered this forum. :)
Cousins ages 5-7: Fleece scarves, a cork board/chalk board. I hear they'll cut the chalkboards for you at Lowes/Home Depot. I'll probably paint and personalize it a bit.
Babies: Stuffed, cotton veggies in a small wicker basket.
Adults: Door blockers (for the cold air at the bottom)
Keep some ideas coming! :goodvibes:

Awesome thread!!!
For my older daughter I made bedding for her doll bed, and a set of felt food, also I made an apron for her.
I didn't have too many ideas for my younger daughter, but I'm thinking a texture quilt with each square a different texture. And to save on I'm using old clothes that don't fit. This way it is stimulating and sentimental!

I'm doing some lounge pants in a dog print for a friend of mine who owns a kennel.
For a bunch of the kids in my life I am thinking of doing wool slippers. I have non stick fabric for the bottoms and I have all the fabric so...now to make them.

for grandparents we're doing just those order-online photo calendars, they are under 20 dollars each and a great grandparent gift, but in the past we've done gift bacskets for each set of granparents with home made treats and bath salts, knit dishcloths, rice bags, and the baskets/boxes painted by the kids.

Let's see....
Crochet slippers for sis
Felted purses for sis and mom (first one is almost done and will post pics when finished in craft show and tell)
Drum bag carrying case for niece (going to use purse pattern but not felt)
Knitted Hat nephew
Scarf and hat MIL
I want to make each of my kiddos something as well. I am still thinking on them. I always make stuff for other ppl and never finish anything for them. My dd keeps asking for me to make her something. I might make her a poncho, crocheted food for the little one, and crocheted dragon for the 5yr old.

One year a close friend pulled out ALL her old christmas cards. She somehow tied and pasted them together to form what looked like a house. It was the cutest thing ever and all the holiday greetings were on the outside and to make it even more special she filled it up with homemade cookies.
Very cute!

For the men of the family I am making Deer Jerky and home made and bottled hot sauce.
For the women, I am doing a "relaxation basket" with bath salts, a sugar scrub, a homemade candle, homemade tea and a lavendar neck pillow.
For the kids, I am making I-Spy Bags, Crayon rolls and a travel chalk board if I can find the chalk board fabric again.

That's so creative! I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make lots of mini-houses to put cookies in, instead of the classic tin cans!

for any woman on your list...take an old pair of jeans,(thrift store finds) chop of the legs, sew the leg hole shut, use the extra "leg" part and sew on a strap to the waist of the jeans...add buttons and patches and a bandana...and you got a cool purse/overnight bag (depending on the size of the jeans!!!)

http://sewmamasew.com/blog2/ has some awesome ideas right now!!
I am making bags for several people, I have made flannel blankets and travel pillows for 2 DD's, need to make one more....
Blankets and burp cloths for the 2 new neices, apron for another, hopefully a couple of fleece capes for 2 more nieces. Oh, a backpack for my nephew. I tried an "I Spy" bag but it didn't turn out very well:banghead:
If I can get my embordiery function working, shirts for DH's nephews.....
And probably a few more things I'm not thinking of right now

Oh, I'm liking some of these ideas! So far I've started dolls and bunnies with matching blankies for all 3 of my lo's. Justin already found one and took it so I'lll have to make another :giggle:. I am halfway done making star shaped crayons for stocking stuffers. Hmm, I'd like to make my DD a necklace and bracelet. If I can accomplish all of that without them seeing it I'd like to do pajamas for them, too. I tried to get my grandma to crochet them some play food, but she wanted to show me how to instead so that probably won't happen. Maybe next year! I was thinking of sewing some felt play food instead for now. Wish I had time for more stuff, but I'll be lucky to finish this.

My 6y/o dd and 7y/o niece are getting a knot a quilt that i made (if that makes any since) I didn't buy the kit I just cut the pieces and let them knot it together. (example: http://www.hearthsong.com/hearthsong/product.do?section_id=0&bc=1005&pgc=9068&cmvalue=HS|0|Normal%20Search%20Result|P1)
my 2y/o niece is getting a tummy pillow. it's a pillow made of fleece and filled with cloves and rice. when they have a tummy ache you pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds and then put it on their tum tum. plus since it is filled with rice it is interesting to play with and the cloves make it smell yummy!
my 1y/o dd and 5 m/o niece are getting homemade taggie blankets and diapers.
I would like to make some crayons out of broken crayons but i haven't figured out the right way to melt them and put them in the molds (the mold i bought is not microwavable)
that is all i'm making so far! :goodvibes:

For a gift swap on another board, I made all my gifts...an I Spy Bag, finger paints, play dough, a little "art book" with fingerpaint paper in it, and about 5-6 felt hand puppets. I also knitted a scarf for the mama.
My DS is getting an I-spy bag...and I may try to make a crayon roll.
I wanna try to make a tutu and a few fleece scarves and hats, but I don't know if I will...I am not sure I really have anyone to give them too! LOL - we live in Texas, so hats and scarves aren't very practical!
