Interesting. although I'm not sure why you couldn't just put the information on a regular USB stick, for $10, probably even less this time of year.

Well, the information is encrypted and password protected, so if the usb thing gets stolen, criminals don't have your information. Plus, it needs no special software and runs on any windows os. Those are the advantages I see.
