I don't know how far you're willing to drive but Cedar Springs has a great program called Parents As Teachers and it's open to all Kent County residents. There are playgroups 3-4 times each week that are geared toward 1-5 year olds but your little guy would be welcome as well. They also do a babies only class (birth-1) once a month. My mom is from Midland. Both my grandparents taught there. I spent my childhood going there very regularly. A few years after my grandfather died my grandmother moved to the Lansing area to be close to everyone. (All 4 of her children live in the area as did her mother.) I miss going there. Once my kids are a bit older I'm planning on taking them on a tour up there. I'll show them my grandfather's memorial at First Baptist Church and definitely take them to see the tridge.

It's not a B&M store. I actually emailed her when I was learning about CDing and asked her if she did workshops or would be help show a newbie how it works. She was not very nice in her reply so I never did buy anything from her. I would like to support local bus. but only one's that deserve it.

I live in GR now, but grew up in Stevensville. There's a cd shop that's run out of Stevensville....I'll have to think what it's called. I don't think it's a B&M store, but I'd bet she'd let you go to pick up if you asked. I found it. It's called Thanks Mama.
