I'm in So Hum! We moved 'home' from Sonoma county in Aug but we just got back online. I LOVE being back!! Everyone is so real and down to earth. And I nolonger get sidways looks for wearing Asterix or his woolies!! Yay!!!
I found CD up at Recycled Youth and in Garb at Organic Graces. Not as big of selections as I was hoping for though! Our fitteds are um a bit thrashed with all the hard water issues we've had.

 hey there! Yeah they have a pretty small selection at recycled youth, there is also a little store called the rocking horse in Jacobi's store house that sells prefolds, snappis and bummis products, and I think a few other things. And a store in Eureka called Bev's real kids that sells Kushies and a few various covers and things. I dream about opening a cloth diaper store up here, I think it would do so well and get so many more mamas CD'ing.

Ooey I keep telling DH that I want to start a CD and reusable product store locally. I could have CD, family, kitchen and mama cloth, shopping bags, lunch ‘stuff’, Kleen Kantings and Siggs, cast iron and stainless steal kitchen stuff. I even decided we need to move to Scotia or Rio Dell because it’s centrally located. People in So Hum wouldn’t mind driving up that fare and people in the Northern part of the county wouldn’t mind driving down that fare. Especialy if we had a really good selection of stuff.
It blows me away that there are 2 CD services but no good BM store and no one carries a selection of Pockets and fitteds.
I forgot about Bev’s! I got 2 Snapi diapes there for $9 to try. I don’t like them much. Should of figured after OCV, BV and OCF that plain old terry would seam nasty! LOL
We should get together on this! I’m perfecting my own diaper pattern and longie pattern.

None in Corning, heck we don't even have a walmart though! :giggle: Not that I'd shop at wally world any way, but you get the idea, :lostit:. My online store is the only cd store here, but if you happen to come through again you are more than welcome to come to my house and check out my stuff!
In Chico there's another online store that sells through some B & M baby stores, but I think all she sells is FB, :headscratch: not sure though.

I'm not living there now, but I grew up and went to college in Arcata. *sigh* miss it there. Especially in the middle of the summer when it's 95 degrees and 95% humidity here.
Say hi to Hey Juan's for me, would you?

Dh grew up outside Garberville, and my SIL & her family (she married into a huge family) live in Arcata. Hopefully we'll visit there next year, I love that the people there are so much more open-minded than they are in S TX.

DH & I have talked about opening a B&M store here too, the biggest issue would be finding a store front in a good location for a reasonable price, it's so expensive here in Arcata. I'm still thinking about starting out with an online thing and seeing how that goes, but I think we both know how good a store would do locally. I even though about selling at farmers market, that would be pretty fun! I've got a snap press and a pretty awesome nb pattern going, I'd be thrilled to collaborate with you :D

I have a crib you can have. It needs to be stripped of it's paint and repainted or finished and I'm not positive I have all the parts to put the side that goes up and down back on. We used it side car and it was AWSOME!!

Hello:goodvibes: We are from here originally, but moved away for some years and have now been back for almost 8 years.
Maybe we will see you around? My kids are 8.5, 6.5, 2.5, and another due in 5 weeks. We homeschool so are at the library and Turtle Bay a lot. And we go to every LLL meeting (at the library, every second Thursday @ 10 am).
~Brandi
p.s.- just had to share my score from yesterday. I was selling some clothes to a local second hand kids clothing store and found three brand new bummies whisper wraps size small for $1 each! I guess they get in cloth dipes from time to time, but they sell fast and usually all at once, no wonder with the prices they put on them!

That's great you are planning to get together. I doubt I would make it myself. When I go to Eureka, every couple of months at the most, its a full day of errands. I have a list so long, I'm lucky to get half of it done. Especially with the baby!
