Hey! I from Indiana and don't know where to go either :giggle:

I am going to be in Marion next week and have been looking around for activites. My FIL is working at Nucor right now and MIL will be out and about durring the day.

We'll probably end up in Memphis most of the time. We were looking at the zoo, children's museum, and the mall. Are their any other neat places or a cd store??

Hi everyone! I am moving to Conway AR April 14-18th. I am sooo scared to make this move as its soooo far away and I have never moved out of state before either. :( I am hoping I can meet some other CDing mommas so I don't feel more like an outcast than I already will be being all northern and all you know? I have only been in AR once and that was just through to get to Texas when I was 19 yrs old. All I remember was all these bugs all over the wall of the restuarant/ gas station/ store I went into and that creeped me out! If anyone wants to be my tour guide and give me some helpful info about the schooling and such I would be so greatful!

Conway schools are very good from what I hear so you shouldn't have much of a problem. Where are you moving from? Feel free to PM me also if you have questions. I'm in North Little Rock/Sherwood so I'm about 30 mins out but Conway is an easy drive.

Ummm I am trying to think of any other stores I frequent but can't really think of much as I am going on a few hours of sleep and my pregnant brain isn't too bright at the moment!:giggle:

Nope to Ikea, yep to Sams (one in North Little Rock, one in Little Rock), no to macy's (I think), yes to Dollar Tree, yes to Consignment Stores (and if you are going to have a little boy, lemme know as soon as you know cause I have a bag full of 3-6 month (sorry, no newborn stuff) from Brandon, and he was born in September too, so weather wise, these just might work for you ;)

Do you have any idea which area in Conway you'll be in, (not the street if you don't feel comfortable telling me) so I know how close you'll be?

Let me know if you need anything looked up too, and when you guys'll be here and I can maybe show you around one afternoon when DH is home to watch the kids :)

I love how the Women's Center has made such an impact.. When I had DS1 I wasn't even asked if I wanted to breastfeed, had no say at all in how I wanted to deliver (mind you, this was only 10 years ago)..

FF to 2.5 years ago and I had the best nurses, I was allowed to move around as I needed to, and bottle feeding never even came up. One of the nurses just asked how I planned on feeding the baby, I said 'boob juice' to which she laughed, and she immediately put 'no bottle or artificial nipples, I want Mommy only' on his little card.

And those rooms!!! Talk about beautiful!!! I only wish they changed the beds to fullsize instead of twin, so daddy could spend the night with Mom, kwim?

Ok I just found out what school the kids will be going to. The lady said its Florence Madison school whatever that means! But being that my 10 yr old is going into 6th grade I am not sure how high that school goes to.
DARN IT I wanted an IKEA!!!!! I guess I better go there before we leave and bring it down with me!
As of Friday I was told I am having a GIRL but since the feet were in the way and all she seen were 3 lines she said ok 65% its a girl but I go for my BIG U/S on April 10th so I will reconfirm that SHE is still a SHE on that day ! LOL

Do any of the hospitals have tubs to do a water birth? I don't vaccinate and I do natural births so I want to make sure I know what to expect before I get down there instead of freak out later LOL

I live just south of Searcy. Not too far from Romance. I graduated from UCA in Dec. 2001. I lived in Conway for a bit before I got married. And I grew up on LRAFB.

Way cool!! How was the weather for you last night? We actually had about 30 minutes of Tornado sirens in Conway, but so far I haven't heard if we actually had a Tornado or not..

Crazy AR weather.. I'm never going to get used to it..lol

Now how are you guys going to bring the tornadoes just as I am coming down? LOL My friend texted me first thing this morning and told me they had bad tornadoes down there last night but she was in Little Rock. I am moving to Conway and would like it to be tornado free once I get down there. I can wish can't I? I am scared to death of them as we don't have them very often here and they aren't very bad usually when they do come.

We ended up in the storm cellar twice Thursday night. It was not fun having to wake up three sleeping kids to go. That was a long night. Luckily we just got wind and hail. Looks like we might be in for more in the next few days. All this rain has done a number on our driveway. DH got the tractor stuck in the mud Sunday. Hopefully it dries up enough to pull it out. This weather is crazy!

Ahhh so excited to find you guys! I live in Cabot and work in Searcy. I moved here from Conway a couple years ago! I started CDing a couple months ago when my daughter was about 10-11 months, shes now 1 year and a couple of weeks. I'm loving it! I went up to the only diaper store in arkansas (that I know of) Terra Tots a couple of weeks ago, its in Fayettville.
