My faves are Fuzzi Bunz with two inserts for extra absorbency; one Joeybunz and one Mother of Eden.
Second fave is BumGenius AIO although they are a bit more leaky.
Fave wash is ECOS wash from Costco. Second fave is Natura from Home hardware.

And yes,
ECOS wash is all natural.
I don't soak or anything. I just run a warm wash with it, then rinse, then rinse one or two more times.
Once in a while I run the wash on hot, and once in a while I do soak them with 1/2 cup baking soda added to the water.

I thought cloth diapers were addictive, but then I discovered the baby carriers on sale here. Yeeouch! They are so cool, I need someone to slap me - I do not need more, I do not need more, I do not need more....:lostit:
What forums do you guys visit? DO you find it weird the Canada FSOT is like a regular forum? And why is Canada so oddly divided up in this area? :headscratch:

Hi all! I am not living in the Ottawa area now but grew up in Morrisburg (take Bank Street south until you hit the St. Lawrence river). I will be back home for our family reunion this spring and am wondering if there are any B&M cloth diapering stores in the area I need to check out!

Hey - I know I'm not in Canada, but I'm right next door. I live 2 miles from the border & go over the bridge more now that I've made friends ;)
I wanted to share a link for a mom w/a store in Ottawa http://www.clothdiapermarket.com/
Her name is Andrea & she's got a store out of her house - you can make appointments & go over & check things out. I'm jealous of her since I don't have a showroom in my house LOL
HTH someone! And if you guys get together, can I please come? LOL
ETA: I must have missed someone already shared this! Sorry K didn't realize there was another page to this.

Hi clothmammas
I'm also in Ottawa (eastern) and after falling in love with cloth diapers with my son I have gone and started my own business. Check out my website if you have a few minutes. My favorite dipes for my son are the DryBees Hybrid and OS bumGenius pocket. For nightime, I think that the Happy Hempy fitted with a So Simple cover rocks!! I've have NEVER had a leak with it EVER! Love it! Also, I can't wait to try the AIO one size organic dipe that bumGenius is coming out with. I'm expecting them in in early June. Should be a great diaper! Nice to meet other clothmammas!
Cheers,
Vicky

Curious as to who you are as I grew up in the 'burg too! Just moved to the city with my hubby. We are now right near Greenbank/Pinecrest. No kids yet, but planning to adopt in a few years once we have more saved!

Did you use PureLan or Lansinoh while breastfeeding? You can use that. Add a pea-sized dollop to a small container with a lid (like a baby food jar), fill it about half full with boiling water, put the lid on, and shake it (to melt the lanolin). Put your wool soaker in enough lukewarm water to cover it, and mix the melted lanolin in with the water, and let your cover soak, let the water out, then let the cover air-dry. I've also heard of ppl rubbing the lanolin into their hands (like all over your hands), and patting down the cover.
cheers,
susie ;)

Howdy neighbour! Dh and I have been in Pet for 7 years now - yippee skippy! lol
If you ever have any CD questions (like the wool one), give me a call (number on my site contact me page) and I'd be glad to help out. :)
I've got some wool wash and lanolin spray if you want to borrow it. My ds is out of diapers, so I only use it now for what I make.

Hey everyone! I'm right next door in Gatineau (though I grew and lived in Ottawa till I got married). Too cool to 'meet' other cloth mammas in the area!
I love my Mother-Ease diapers, though we're almost finished using them for daytime as my twins are finally going down the potty road! Still need them for nighttime though, and probably will for a while judging by their two older siblings...
Anyway, nice to see you all!
Karen.

I'm going to be in Ottawa Wednesday and Thursday if anyone wanted to get together for coffee or at a park to play. I'll have my 2 older boys only, though (8 and 9).
We'll be between Vanier and Moodie (Nepean) depending on the time of day. We're bouncing between the Pediatrician and CHEO.

Hey :)
I live in Orleans, and currently use sposies (we recently moved from an apartment with no laundry facilities to a house, so we wanted to have our own washer/dryer before making the switch). We are TTC #2 with some medical assistance, and definitely want to do cloth with #2.
Any suggestions as to local places to check out to build a stash?

Hi!
I just wanted everyone to know that I run a free drop-in through my babywearing business at Milkface nursingwear down in Westboro. I'll be there featuring SSCs tomorrow, like the Ergo, Scoota and others. I also have a basic stash to help with any questions.
My next one is Sunday April 5, 2009 from 12:00 to 2:00 pm! Hope to see you there. :goodvibes:
I also offer courses, consultations and have a carrier library membership program. I am currently looking to run a basic wrapping course for the end of the month of April. Please pm or e-mail me with interest.

HI
I am in Kanata. I have one daughter (18 months) and one on the way. I haven't really used cloth diapers since my daughter started day care. I am just getting back into things preparing for #2.
I used hugga buns, thursties and bummis prefolds and covers.
This time around I am hoping to make most of my own.
