Diaper chatter is yet again over run with Bashing of WAHMs and it is, same as always, not acceptable. I'm sorry mamas, there is NO way to review both sides of the story in a thread like the ones that have been popping up and they can ruin a business...some mamas way to make a living. We have never allowed these types of threads on DS. We are now applying this rule to ANY business that is outed. If you post the business name the thread will be deleted.

You can post in the trans and FB forum for questions on how to handle a situation but you are not allowed to post WHO the other person is. If their is any indication that people are being pm'd to out the person, the thread will be trashed and warnings will be given.

DS has a WAHM Feedback (http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=68) forum that everyone is welcome to use to report problems with any company. And if you have a transaction issue, you can send a PM to an admin or a senior moderator (http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=481032) (just one of us please). If everyone would take advantage of these features we could make the world of diaper shopping even safer :giggle:

Feel Free to post here with other places to leave feedback and I will link them in this original post.

Breakdown of places to leave FB:

WAHM Feedback (http://www.diaperswappers.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=68)
Diaper Pin (www.diaperpin.com)
Juicy Apple (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/JuicyAppleReport/?yguid=37250582)

I'm glad to see this. I thought it was a bit of a double standard that "commercial" diapers could be bashed, but the second a WAHM was questioned/outted, the thread was removed.

I agree!!

It may be my new mommy brain, but I'm confused. I started a thread a few days ago about having a "problem" with a company accidently charging me too much (but also adding those diapers to the order). I wasn't bashing at all, as I love that company. I'm using that as an example though. Was I not allowed to mention the name in the thread? I just needed help on what to do to contact and fix the situation - that wasn't even their fault, really.

I totally agree that the personal bashing about the manufacturer/ WAHM, etc is out of hand and should be stopped. But just to clarify does this mean that we can't post things that we don't like about the product? It helps to see sometimes that such and such diapers won't work on skinny babies, tall babies, have tabs that lay weird, have sizing inconsistencies, aren't absorbent enough for heavy wetters, etc.

I like to see both kinds of reviews on the product that I want to purchase. I don't really think that it is my business to know about the personal life of the person who makes it!

I have no idea what all this is in regards to, but a few months ago i posted a therad to see if ayone had gotten their customs from a WAHM, and to see if i was the only one that couldn't get ahold of her, or was missing my order. So would something like that be deleated?

It's about time someone did something about all the trash talk going on here lately. DS was turning into an ugly place.

I just started posting on here not too long ago and have thought MANY times of leaving with all the drama and nastyness. Actually left 2 other boards due to it and seriously didn't want to have to leave here. Lots of good info to get and some sweet nice mama's too.

Note to self.... stop picking nose, and re-name business from XYZ to PQRS.

I'd like to know that, too. IMO I think these sorts of things can be posted just as a straight-up review, without bashing. It is a fact that babies come in all shapes and sizes, and diapers that work FABULOUSLY for one baby-body-style may not work for a different baby body. I just don't like using the words "I don't like the features of this diaper b/c it didn't work for my baby." You CAN still like and appreciate a diaper, even if it doesn't work for your baby, and give neutral feedback saying so.

So sorry mamas I must have missed this. The "do X diapers work well with chunky babies?" etc.. Is fine. The Y diaper is so bad it leaks so horribly like it's made our of an old tarp.

Openly bashing any business or questioning ethics or anything of that matter does NOT belong on DS

am I making sense? I don't feel like I'm making sense :bagoverhead:

I wish more people would post their feedback (whether raves or complaints) on diaperpin.com's product review section. It would be so much better for helping everybody make informed purchasing decisions.

Why is the "what companies do you boycott" thread in off topic okay? It violates this rule. There is a some harsh bashing going on there compared to some threads that have been deleted recently.
