Hello there,
I am relatively new to this forum. I currently have 2 lo's, ds who is 4 and dd who is 2. DD has had so many nursing issues that I had to ep for 12 months to ensure she got mm. For that, my heart goes out to any mommies out there who are dealing with nursing issues of any kind. I am by no means, an expert, but I do have some resources that may be of interest. I am involved with a group called MOBI, or Mothers Overcoming Breastfeeding Issues. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/mobi/ This is a yahoo group formed by mom's who had nursing issues, to support other mom's with nursing issues. This is for moms who truely have supply issues or the baby has a tight frenulum or cleft palate/lip or some other reason that interferes with nursing.
Another resource I have is the book called Mother Food. It can be found on this web site: http://www.mother-food.com/ and there are all kinds of recipies that do help boost supply. The author is a friend of mine, and really knows her stuff.
I love both of these, because they are there for the moms who really want to do the best for their babies, like all of you. They understand that not every mom is able to produce enough milk, no matter what is told to you. Yes, we are built to feed our babies, but things go wrong just like with anything else (diabetes, etc) where the body does fail. When I was unable to nurse my dd, due to her medical issues, they were there to help me through it. I just want to pass this onto any mom who may feel alone and have all the other emotions that come with a less than perfect nursing relationship

Thanks for the resources! I have to pump since breastfeeding didn't work out for either me or my dd.
