For those of you who potty during the night, are you waking your child or do they wake and want to potty? My dd I am starting to EC with is sleeping through the night and I don't know if I should wake her up. I don't really want to. I tried to put her on the potty one time she woke up and she got very mad. I'm not feeling inclined to do this again until she's more familiar with the potty. Does this sound like a good plan? TIA

I try to live by the words...Never wake a sleeping babe!
When I was nighttime EC-ing, I would EC dd right when she woke up IF she wasn't upset and needing to nurse right away, then it would just make her madder.
It worked best for me when dd would wake on her own, we would do a quick EC try, and then nurse back to sleep.

Don't wake the baby! I live by that too. Especially since you've got some sleeping through the night action, I'd say follow your daughter's lead with the night pottying, esp since going with in the diaper doesn't seem to interfere with her sleep!

I agree- don't wake her, but what I've done w/ DD is when I wake in the middle of the night, I just change her to a dry dipe- it doesn't wake her, but I feel better knowing she's not wet, KWIM?
