I think thats a GREAT idea.....The gal whose house we are meeting plus a few other mamas will possibly be ISO things (she is expecting baby #8...her first one to EVER cd!) , so maybe they could pick up a few from anyone that wants to get sell a few items :)
I know i have one item that I'd love to bring and have someone take off my hands....so SICK of bumping :giggle:
and we would save on shipping that way :thumbsup:

I am interested also!! My son is now Potty trained, but I am due with my 3rd in July and we haven't CD'd from the beginning yet. I will be coming without the kids (good oportunity to get away for some "me" time). I do have a few large AIO's, a brand new large crat, and a few pockets to trade for Newborn dipes if anyone has anything.. I am interested in KLO's and some NB sized pockets and AIO's.. This sounds like a lot of fun!! I need to start building a stash, so I hope others have NB stuff to sell or trade..

OK...Dawn (mom23cs) came up with a really great idea for all of us...
since there will be quite a few mamas there and LOADS of fluff, a good idea might be to bring only one or two of each diaper you want to show off etc. AND...maybe even consinder somehow marking it *yours* that way we don't get them mixed up.
Then, maybe bring a seperate bag with stuff you WANT to sell and label it with your name and such.
Well...let me think on this one more....but we need to organize it so people can browse what is FS and not browse what is NOT FS,:giggle: like My cranky pants :rofl: (TOTALLY kidding I don't own any, but that would be a good example if I did ;) )
What we might do is I'll blab for the first little bit :mrgreen: ...then we can do a show and tell around the room...
THEN we can pull out our FS stuff at the end so people can browse, trade etc. ;)
And we can eat the entire time...there's no limit on that, heehee.
I'm going to work on listing who is bringing what on the top post later tonight hopefully.
I know I have 6 almost brand new UBIPF's that I no longer need that I'll be bringing, and maybe a wool item or two who knows.
Ok off to cook dinner for the chitlins ;)

Darn! We are actually having visitors from Michigan that whole weekend so I won't be available. It looks like it would be fun! There is also a Cloth Diaper group that meets monthly in the Toledo area that the close by Michigan mommies are more than welcome to come to! I'm not exactly sure yet....I wanna say somewhere ball park 7-12 mamas at least? it may be more like 15-20 (high side)
I haven't actually been organized enough to figure exact numbers :giggle:
I just finished writing up a brief walk through of itinerary and of How to's for the new mamas that are coming.
I know we'll have at least 2 moms there who have never cd before, so I want to be sure and get some info out there first, then we can gab, eat and squish pass and share fluffies :giggle: ( and kiss and oogle babies :wub:)
BTW, in case anyone missed it, there will be balloons (HOPEFULLY) on the mailbox or at the end of her driveway....her house sits really far back off the road, so I want to be sure eveyrone can find it. It's a huge white 2 story house with a massive pole barn next to it.
And be sure that if you get lost...call me :thumbsup:

Ok I definitely have to get one. I just bought some rainbow BL from Target tonight, they will go perfectly!! My little sister always makes fun of me and says "poor Fiona, too bad your mom is such a crazy hippie..." She is going to flip when she sees Fiona decked out in all rainbow!

Hey ladies I found you! I'm Angie...the beginner today who had ALLLLL the questions lol. I just joined this site and I am totally clueless. But I wanted to share that I already have my son in cloth diapers! YAY! I'm so excited. I have already done three diaper changes and it was so easy!

Thanks Lydia! Fiona is a doll too! I cant believe how well she walks! They grow so quickly :cry:.
I really would like to get together with all of u again sometime soon. I dont get a chance to get out of my house very often as I dont have very many IRL friends (thats what happens when u start having babies before your friends do).
Tink I dont know you or your daughters name either. I was so bad about finding out ppls names and everything but your dd is sooooooooooo darn adorable! I love her curly hair and her cute lil boots.

I think next time we do this, we need to all wear name tags with real names AND screen names on them. That way we can recall who is who ;)
Also...I was thinking that I'll bring my laptop with me next time and if anyone wants to BST, we could log into paypal right then and there...wouldn't that be cool?
How would you guys feel about meeting down in Monroe next time at my house? We are putting in a fence this spring and the kids could run around in the backyard...we have a huge 200 yr old tree back there that makes for awesome shade :thumbsup:

What a beautiful name! Ya my friends dont have kids AND they think Im weird for bfing, cding and bwing. I dont even bother with them anymore cus I get tired of trying to explain to them why I do the things I do with the baby.

hey everyone! sorry it took me a few days to check back in here....i got the flu the night of the class and have been in bed until this morning...crazy....
Anyway, I had a great time meeting everyone....I did miss not having my twins with me, but I loved watching everyone else's little ones running around...they are all so adorable!
I was thinking a playdate sounded like fun...maybe we could find a central location for most of us and meet somewhere? We don't go too many places either unless it is baby-related so getting out once a week is what we aim for.

pretty much the only day that doesn't work well for me is Thursdays because we have MOPS...other than that, I'm usually available!
I got yarn from Western Sky knits in "Lion King." Its so gorgeous! Think Simba or Mufasa!! All golden oranges and varying browns. So pretty. Hmm I might need someone to make me a lion shirt to match :whistle: I also got some Natural Home Presents yarn in Sunburst for a yy/mn, so that's what I've been working on tonight.:thumbsup:

I love Java Jungle! Its perfect especially since it is so small you wont have to worry about some weirdo taking off with your kids. Do they have one Downriver? I know there is one in Canton cus Kaylen had a field trip their last year.

we def need a playdate! I want to do one at my house but its going to be a few weeks until we get our fence in the ground etc. We are doing some major house renovations to make life better around here, problem is dh has been gone alot :/

oh and another idea is we could meet at Sterling state park down here for the day...there is a beach that my kids LOVE to swim at, it's cheap to get in ( I think $4 for your car, unless you have a state park pass then its free).
We could do that as well...just a thought.
